1) he only starts releasing targeted luring pheremones to him after SS brings Shu Xin to the gathering with Chang Yu. It was after SS's friend also said that he didn't believe in forever - so HY decides to double down. If i'm not wrong, this is why SS feels better when HY is around like he said in the hospital.

He also chooses to do this at the business meeting (a) i think it's to distract SS and bring him down from his alpha arrogance a little. And it opens up the door for HY's next stage of the plan which is to weaken SS's company so that he will accept help from X + now that he goes through hard times he leans on HY more than anyone else allowing HY to ingratiate himself even further with SS. Making him harder to replace than the other omegas.

(2) we haven't seen it in the series yet. But in the novel SS is a little tempted to accept giving up HY for one night for so much more time with his day. So similar to HY going missing during his rut, he does these tests again and again to see how much SS loves him. Especially when SS doesn't mind hanging out with other Omegas lol. It's only when SS breaks down and says that he loves HY and can't replace himself with anyone else - that's when HY finally eases up LOL but ofc the truth comes out soon.

I know people say it's repetitive and it's true but the first 8 episodes were basically HY conditioning this man into staying next to him forever

He was PISSED when Sheng said ten lol

Jaemin's plan was nonsense tbh. So he will just stay with Daon for the rest of his life and they will never get together? But Jaemin will monopolize his attention and just keep him hanging?

In comparison, Hua Yong moved himself into Sheng's apartment within a few months + in his bed less than a year - with no sex.

Jaemin was also pissed when Daon would go near other guys but came up with some fake dating thing. Hua Yong also gets pissed but he (a) pretends to move out and never see Sheng again(b) overdoses on his medication so that he lands up in hospital (c) decides to just make Sheng go into heat for hi.

I had such bad second couple syndrome especially for the next prince but that doesn't take away from the main couple tbh.

I like both couples here and it's sad that it's becoming toxic

There is a difference between being disappointed about the lack of screen time for the second couple vs complaining that the main couple is boring and the whole episode is a waste of time.

It's understandable that everyone has preferences but when you say the second couple is better than the first because they are more interesting etc - that's an opinion so expect opinions to your opinion.

No one said that people can't prefer one couple tp another btw.

I honestly don't get people saying the second couple is more interesting than the main. And frankly I don't want to. they have a nice dynamic but I can list off countless other BL dramas where you have some sad bambi eyed fragile flower pining for a hardheaded arrogant nut who's too blind to see that he's also in love.

Also, it's a slow burn drama that I'm enjoying. The first couple matches each other's psycho toxic freak flag while the second couple are more angsty and soft.

Personally I'm more invested in the first couple simply because I enjoy the dynamics more and they seem unhinged in different ways.

And honestly not everyone watches dramas to root for the characters. Sometimes you watch just to be entertained by the mess LOL

I laughed and laughed tbh the way HY acted like he had just come back from war with severe PTSD when he was the one giving people trauma left and right

Also, the ending scene when Shaoyu came back and HY hugged him - you can tell he was so so angry that Shaoyu left but he's holding back

HY telling chen ping in such a demure and resigned voice "oh i understand..." to straight up telling SWL "i want to kill someone" is a great summation of how unhinged this character is.

Him complaining about how Shaoyu has useless people around him was funny. I just KNOW that he's mentally keeping a checklist of all the things he will change the minute he and Shaoyu are locked in for a life. Shaoyu doesn't have a clue what's coming - one tear down HY cheek and he immediately folded.

I feel that K has basically kidnapped Dami lmao and he's doing all this coz he's bored and he wants to keep her because she's currently his favourite toy

So in episode 1, K and Mone were still dating. He brought her(in the bobble hat) in the sports car to the hotel. Then, she tells Jin Mo that she's pregnant or rather she's upset and Jin Mo says they can take care of it.

Then in episode 2, Mone says that jin mo will be thrown away like her if k gets angry

Does this mean she intentionally got pregnant with K's baby to trap him for his status and money? That's why he got angry and dumped her anyway and went off to usa in episode 4.

Rewatching episode 2 and they seem to know each other pretty well. Phu looks so done when Khun gets punched by Pitch.

Weirdly, I think her brother could be on it. He didn't seem surprised when May said Prae forced them to make a promise that they couldn't date him. Maybe his resentment could build up?

I think it's all tied back to that sixth friend they had that passed away. Someone is taking revenge for her
I'm not sure how Phu and Khun seem to be connected to the story anymore - they seem to be cleared FOR NOW but that can't be it right so it's possible one or both can be involved in Prae's betrayal

Meen - seems to have some sort of moral compass but this could be a front. Reminds me of Emily/Spencer abit - she's the only one actively trying to find who did that to Prae. If she wasn't the main character, I would think she's the next one to be bumped off. She's just so isolated rn..
Prae - straight up Alison vibes. Charismatic but cruel. And she's also ruthless with having strong arm-ed and blackmailed Phu into marrying her.
WanWan - damn, she's got girl boss vibes and she's having an affair with Non?
May - reminds me of Aria tbh LOL she's just alot more into herself but is a good friend when she needs to be
Saras -sweet like Hanna but also makes dumb AF decisions. She's also feisty and can fight her way out of her corner. She seems the weakest but sometimes people like that can be vicious as proved by her fight with the captain's wife
Pitch - straight up hot mess. He wants Meen but she keeps pushing him away. So he tugs on her pigtails like a little boy does to his crush
Khun and Phu - another hot mess. These two seem to have a history and bear a grudge against each other. Did Khun dump Phu or was it the other way around? Weirdly, Phu seems to be more human around Khun compared to everyone else where he's playing a politician
Chanon - ick. Feels like half the reason he wants Meen is because he wants what he can't have and he wants to beat Pitch

Interesting! the first episode moved ALOT faster than the player.
All of the girls are suspicious right now and it's amazing how fast they fell apart after the first betrayal.
Prae is the queen bee while the others have varying degrees of niceness but are also nasty
Phu is a freaking snake. His marriage to Prae seems very much a society marriage. I thought he and the photographer were in a relationship but he seems hostile towards him and is sleeping with another guy
Pitch actually likes Meen lmao that's why he's doing all of this. WanWan is so charismatic and I'm curious about her boyfriend who's an invalid?
Lastly, it does have a very PLL vibe with the hint that something very bad happened to a girl that used to be in their circle and they covered the whole thing up.
