does it even matter? Only the people still living in middle ages will care about it...
Ah, I see we’ve got a whole team of bot friends of yours here, liking every one of your comments! Maybe they’re trying to earn their stripes by agreeing with you. It’s quite the spectacle—bot accounts lecturing us on how to view Asian dramas without even logging a complete single day of watchtime. I guess their lack of experience makes them experts! But hey, keep it coming; it’s entertaining to watch them try to school us on why the shift from Western dramas is happening. Who knew a bot could have such strong opinions!

Oh wow, that’s rich coming from someone who’s clearly mastered the art of making themselves look foolish. You really think tossing around insults about my parents adds weight to your argument? Newsflash: It only highlights how desperate you are to distract from your own lack of insight. But hey, keep at it! Your attempts at cleverness are almost endearing—like watching a toddler try to do calculus. I’m sure your mom is proud of her little champion in the ‘art of pathetic comebacks.’ Keep crying; I’ll send a tissue your way!

Extremist conservative? Wow, I didn’t realize appreciating well-developed characters and meaningful relationships was such a radical stance! But hey, if preferring thoughtful storytelling over casual hookups makes me an extremist, I’ll wear that label with pride. Just keep enjoying your shows where every relationship is like a game of musical chairs—sounds like a blast!

Oh, thanks for the expert insight, but just a heads up: calling me 'sis' is a bold move when I’m rocking the whole 'man' thing over here! But hey, nothing screams 'K-drama expert' like having one lonely drama in your watchlist. It must have taken serious research to miss that the appeal of K-dramas goes beyond what you think. Keep the well-informed comments coming—maybe after a few more dramas, you’ll earn a gold star for your effort. Hahaha!

Dumb? Sure, call me that if appreciating romance without everyone constantly 'sleeping around' is such a naive concept. But it's funny—so many viewers are switching to K-dramas exactly because they build connections with meaning, where every gesture feels unique and intimate. If you’re missing that appeal, no worries; I’ll keep enjoying my 'dumb' reality, where each relationship actually means something. Meanwhile, if you need any K-drama recommendations that prove it, just let me know!

Yes, it really does matter—and it matters a lot. That’s why so many people are moving from Western dramas to Korean ones. In Western shows, it often feels like everyone’s sleeping with everyone, making relationships feel less special. K-dramas, however, keep things more chaste, with a slow build-up of romance where each intimate gesture feels unique and exciting. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn’t mean you should shame them for it. Everyone has their own preferences and values in the content they enjoy.

this one is the first to confront it. other dramas make it seem it's not possible for a female lead in an actress…
Totally! It’s such a rare topic for dramas to explore, and the way they used it to stir up the ML’s jealousy was spot on. Reminds me of Touch Your Heart where the same thing happened with the FL filming romantic scenes. It’s like they’re showing how tricky balancing real feelings and acting can be. Gives me goosebumps too!

The preview of episode 18 brings up such an important topic that I rarely see in dramas about actors. It dives into the reality of doing intimate scenes with co-stars and how it affects their real-life partners. I’m really glad this drama is addressing it, unlike most other shows in this genre.

Why it's not doing well in China?
Both leads aren’t as popular domestically, even though they’re pretty well-known internationally, unlike actors like Xu Kai or Bai Lu, who are big both at home and abroad. That’s one reason why the heat index is low. Also, it’s a modern drama, and Chinese viewers tend to lean more towards historical dramas. The modern ones that do well usually have more complex plots, whereas this one has a lighter, more easygoing vibe.

I think we will receive the express package either on the 28th or 29th, as The Story of Pearl Girl is releasing on the 30th of October, and they would need to finish this before that starts.

Can please, someone tell the difference between a live-in husband and marriage? It seems it is not the same? Ha?
I think a live-in husband refers to a husband who lives with his wife and her parents in their house, which is essentially the opposite of the usual living arrangement after marriage.

Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
I think the issue is that romance is a key part of the story, but the mystery of the FL's birth still hasn’t…
I totally get where you're coming from, and I agree that once she finds out the truth, it will definitely change the way she sees him, just like it did for him. I just wish we could have had that shift happen a little earlier, so we could enjoy watching their relationship grow with more depth instead of waiting for the reveal. It's like we're stuck in this sibling-zone, and it’s making the romance feel a bit stuck too, you know? Hopefully, once the truth is out, we’ll get that smooth transition you mentioned. Fingers crossed it happens soon!

look if you strictly here for romance then this might not be for you ( not that there won't be any but so far…
I think the issue is that romance is a key part of the story, but the mystery of the FL's birth still hasn’t been revealed to her. Because of this, she sees the ML as her brother, when it should’ve been cleared up earlier. This way, we could enjoy the gradual development of their romance, and it wouldn’t feel so sudden when it finally happens. I don’t mind slow-burn romances, but when more than half the drama is over and the romance hasn’t even started due to a big misunderstanding that could easily be resolved, it feels frustrating.
