I don't know why all the men in this drama are written with such bad personalities, excluding Song San Chuan and his father. Every one of them is either rude, insensitive, has a bad personality, or isn't even able to communicate with others, even though their job requires them to.
Judging by the speed of things, hunting event will be wrapped up in ep 31 and 32 and after that, the whole rebellion…
1. In the brothel scene, PWX was invited by his colleague to a brothel after the scene where Cui Yulang (CYU) meets LR in the forest. LR thought PWX was somewhat angry with her, so she disguised herself as a Persian dancer to enter the brothel and see whether he would cheat on her. While dancing at the back of the dancers, PWX recognized her but didn't say anything. They shared many intimate moments during this time.
2. In the assassination scene, Consort Rou (CR) wanted to match her niece with PWX and sent a formal letter to his residence. However, it was intercepted by his mother, who took it to LR. PWX, aware of the letter, suspected that LR would be angry with him and knew he couldn't extricate himself from CR's scheme. Consequently, he went to the Wang residence to arrest Wang Haoran. There, he was stopped and arrested by SRQ. While in the carriage, assassins planted by SRQ started attacking. However, PWX had anticipated this and had already sent someone to inform the Princess, placing some of his men along the road to the ministry. After some fighting, both PWX and SRQ were thrown out of the carriage. Just as it seemed PWX would die, LR arrived. SRQ began protecting PWX, but PWX, aiming to gain LR's sympathy, got himself stabbed in a non-vital area. Following this, LR slapped SRQ and harshly told him what she had said in the drama, but in a more cruel manner, and stated that she had never liked SRQ. The scene was significantly altered in the drama.
For further details, You can read the novel as it became much better after the leads got together.
As far as I know, the writer of this drama, Rao Jun, is famous for being extremely efficient at butchering dramas based on novels, so people expected this drama to be the same. There are some complaints from Chinese netizens about the excessive whitewashing of SRQ and the decreased scenes for the leads, but these complaints are much less frequent compared to those from international audiences, as far as I know because the leads are getting too much popularity in china.
Actually, that was the scene where she learns who was responsible for her death from SRQ, and she was pretty shaken by it. It was a very good scene where she almost becomes lost until PWX comes to her. However, considering how the drama is cutting important scenes left and right, I don't think we will get justice for that scene.

I have the same doubts as you after watching the next episode's preview. Everything seems to be moving too fast, and at this rate, the story could end by episode 36. However, after reading your points, I agree that the makers might go with the idea that it was all a dream and there was no rebirth. I don't understand why the producers are so obsessed with SRQ, as if his actor is engaging in casting couch activities with them. They are increasing his scenes and reducing the lead's scenes, where they could truly outshine. They even changed the entire assassination scene and didn't include my favorite brothel scene, just to give SRQ more dignity. I think I'll stop watching now and wait for the series to end to decide if it's worth my time.
Wasn't PWX almost assassinated in the carriage, and SRQ couldn't take him to the Ministry of Justice in the novel?…
I at least hope we get the slap scene, even if they change the whole vibe of the assassination scene, because I don't think viewers want more of the smug SRQ that we are getting right now.

Yes, I don't know why they are giving needless scenes to SRQ that serve no purpose to the story and just annoy the viewers, while cutting important scenes of the leads.
Hey, fellow novel readers! Just one question for you all.
Wasn't PWX almost assassinated in the carriage, and SRQ couldn't take him to the Ministry of Justice in the novel? Or am I misremembering? In tomorrow's preview, we see PWX and SRQ conversing in jail, whereas in the novel, this happened on the road to the Ministry in the carriage. PWX was attacked, LR saved him, and then she slapped SRQ. Do you think the makers changed the whole situation? And do you think the slap will happen, or will the makers change that too?
That’s gold right there I was loving it in the previews. I may just watch those previews again.
That's good then, I'll watch it after TPR finishes airing. Yeah, the hairstyle is also my only gripe with it. It's my personal preference that girls look more beautiful with long hair than with short, but what can we do? I just hope the makers don't change the drama much from the novel.
