They stay in this new timeline and the entire time travel aspect wasn't unexplained. In the novel's ending, they have two children: a girl and a boy. The girl becomes the Crown Princess despite the noble families' protests. Eventually, the boy sees LR writing a divorce letter because PWX did not support her in court. Complaining to his sister about it, she assures him that their parents will never divorce, whether in this life or the next and they are just teasing each other.

That was the issue with everyone in the comments, I think. She could have at least told PWX her plan because he was the only one she can trust and who didn't betray her.

I don't think it would have been appropriate for PWX to tell LR that she is pregnant while she is in so much pain from learning who was involved in her death. She might have taken a wrong step and had a miscarriage because her body has been weak since birth.

I was still tolerating the writer because there weren't major changes from the novel until the assassination scene. However, after that, one scene after another, major plot points were deleted. Key scenes that showed LR's love for PWX, like the slap scene, the brothel scene, and LR calling for PWX when she learned how she died, were all altered. Instead, they increased the screen time for SRQ for no reason at all. At that point, I lost all hope for the drama.

Yes, I saw that too. I was telling everyone that LR does love SRQ and has a soft spot for him. However, some people were saying that she only feels a sense of companionship toward him. This was evidenced by many scenes crafted specifically for the drama that were not in the novel. The characters in the novel were written much better than in the drama. As I mentioned before, this writer is going on my block list. They have ruined the entire drama just to portray SRQ as a tragic hero and devoted lover who would do anything for his family and for LR, according to their vision.
