The dialogue between Li Rong and Pei Wenxuan after they came back from Li Chuan in episode 37 is also from the…
They stay in this new timeline and the entire time travel aspect wasn't unexplained. In the novel's ending, they have two children: a girl and a boy. The girl becomes the Crown Princess despite the noble families' protests. Eventually, the boy sees LR writing a divorce letter because PWX did not support her in court. Complaining to his sister about it, she assures him that their parents will never divorce, whether in this life or the next and they are just teasing each other.
I don't think it would have been appropriate for PWX to tell LR that she is pregnant while she is in so much pain…
That was the issue with everyone in the comments, I think. She could have at least told PWX her plan because he was the only one she can trust and who didn't betray her.
My brain has stopped functioning after ep33-34 LR didn't tell PWX about what she talked with SRQ in that cave…
I don't think it would have been appropriate for PWX to tell LR that she is pregnant while she is in so much pain from learning who was involved in her death. She might have taken a wrong step and had a miscarriage because her body has been weak since birth.
Yes, I saw that too. I was telling everyone that LR does love SRQ and has a soft spot for him. However, some people…
I was still tolerating the writer because there weren't major changes from the novel until the assassination scene. However, after that, one scene after another, major plot points were deleted. Key scenes that showed LR's love for PWX, like the slap scene, the brothel scene, and LR calling for PWX when she learned how she died, were all altered. Instead, they increased the screen time for SRQ for no reason at all. At that point, I lost all hope for the drama.
Well when I read the novel I was okay with PWX letting SRQ excape.Because death would be easy punishment for him…
Yes, I saw that too. I was telling everyone that LR does love SRQ and has a soft spot for him. However, some people were saying that she only feels a sense of companionship toward him. This was evidenced by many scenes crafted specifically for the drama that were not in the novel. The characters in the novel were written much better than in the drama. As I mentioned before, this writer is going on my block list. They have ruined the entire drama just to portray SRQ as a tragic hero and devoted lover who would do anything for his family and for LR, according to their vision.
I was planning to watch Destined after this, but I don't think I will be able to watch anything else by this writer. He is going on my block list because of the way he is butchering the already known storylines from the novel. He just has to adapt it properly, but he is not even able to do that. He is so hell-bent on adding unnecessary scenes of SRQ that were not present in the novel, just so SRQ can be seen as a hero.
Seriously, look at the preview she doesn’t go to him because our man stops her and talks some sense into her.…
Our issue is why they included these unnecessary scenes when they weren't even in the novel. They add nothing to the drama except making LR seem more confused and still not trusting PWX, even though he has always supported her, both in the past and present. In the novel, LR was much more certain of her feelings for PWX and never considered colluding with SRQ. Instead, she just wanted to leave everyone and everything behind. However, in the drama, LR is still portrayed as confused. The makers keep adding unnecessary scenes that were not present in the novel to make SRQ seem like a hero who always loves LR, but he comes across as petty. They could have reduced these unnecessary scenes to include the original scenes from the novel.
This drama is so heavily influenced by SRQ scenes that they are cutting significant scenes to compensate. They changed the way PWX found LR, how she called for him after learning the truth about her death, and added a strange angle where LR supports Prince Su's ascension to the throne, which wasn't even in the novel. The makers even add romantic music and moments to emphasize SRQ's love for LR. I don't understand why they did this when the novel already had everything needed. They are deviating from the novel just for the sake of it. I don't know why the makers are so hell-bent on including unnecessary scenes of SRQ and are trying to make him some kind of hero when he is actually as bad as the emperor whether it was present or past.
I came here to check out the comments because the premise of double reincarnation sounded interesting but now…
Ma'am, how are you so sensible? I agree with your points, but what can we do when the majority of writers nowadays are females? They aim for equal representation by making female leads independent with multiple attractive and kind suitors, but they often forget that male leads should have similar opportunities to maintain balance in the drama. Just a piece of advice: please refrain from posting these comments on this website. Otherwise, many pseudo-feminists will criticize and hate om you. I have encountered many of them myself.
I'm up to episode 18, and I'm really enjoying the drama, but I'm going to have a whinge. If it turns out I'm wrong,…
What about Coach Zhuang Yan? He is also like that—rude, misogynistic, and closed-minded/biased, always going on about how the FL is not a professional at tennis at all. He doesn't even take others into consideration. I think he is just as bad as Jio Jiao.
