The box is not full of the Shen daughter's belonging, he still doesnt know who she is. Her mom said something, she said another and now apparently its enough for him to suddenly realize his wife can write and question her identity

Ignoring and not seeing are two different things though. To ignore you need to notice. And the noticing should have happend, he should have noticed and not think much of it but notice anyway. And the viewers should have seen him notice things. Him noticing does not mean he is being suspicious, just observant. And then after years of ignoring, one comment can indeed make the brain work.

I didn't say he should have realized that she is Shen Jialan, but he should have realized that there are things about her that just don't match her life as maid.

That was definetly a mess up on their part. He never noticed anything and that makes no sense. There is a world between being a maid and a noble.They should have made him notice things along the way so that it builds up to him finally asking if he's beeing imagining things or not. It's 9 years later, Pio spent 6/7 of those years looking for JY, and now that he's back, Pio's been acting like a total dck to him, juste like when they were young. He's so weird. I don't understand his writing honestly.

I don't really understand the point of this episode. JY helping Pio get his shine back, didn't we already do that before ? What was the point ? What does them working together help achieve story wise ? If it's to get close to Pio to get the truth, they spent an awful lot of time on the music part than the "getting the truth/revenge" part so I'm not sure that's the angle here. I think 12 episodes is a bit too long.

edit: let's not pretend some kdramas weren't written as BL but the studios/actors didn't want to do it, when writers literally came forward in the past saying the story was suppose to be a BL lmao. ""Censored"" BL has been a thing for years in SK, the "bromance" tag is bromance sometimes and ""censored"" BL other times. Don't make people who see more than bromance look like crazy people.

I said last week that I hoped they wouldn't take the "amnesia" path because how fucking cliché! I'm happy they didn't. I'm happy JY s as resentful as he should be.

But to be honest, Pio suspected his mom from the get go and if that's really her, he did in fact profit off of what she did. It gave him his career, so is he fully free from blame ? He didn't distance himself from her. But well, that's his mom.

I have 0 expectations so I'm curous how they will find a way to bring the two friends (hum, lovers) together again. Right now JY blames Pio, will he still blame him for making a name out of JY's work? Will they reconcile ?
