Well, that ending was underwhelming. So nothing really happens or changes huh. The format went back/replayed to the beginning of the show. No progress. Danoh and Haru will be tormented forever. The comic writer went scotch free with their bag of tricks.
All character development for Jooda went out the window. Baek Kyung and Dohwa should be friends, they can console each other.
The drama writers should be ashamed of themselves.
Episode 15 & Preview: The drama writers must had procrastinated and only finished writing the scripts 5 minutes before filming. It’s so repetitive. They lost all creativity. They lost their freaking minds mistreating the characters by doing the same thing over and over again. If real life was like this I would be so upset at the Heavenly Creator. It’s borderline abuse.
*when will they ever reveal the freaking comic writer(s)? They should had reveal the writer awhile ago so Danoh & Co could deal with him/her, in the most “beautiful” way of course or not.
*what the onions took them so long to redeem baek kyung? They could had done this a century ago. His scenes were pretty touching this episode.
I feel like if they were to chop the last few minutes of episode 15, they could had called it a day and said that the drama is over because it covered most of the bases. It would had been mediocre but at least tolerable rather than drag it to another episode and throw in more unneeded angst and sadness. If they were to give happiness to every central character on ep 16, then maybe it would be somewhat accepting but I highly doubt it.

Amen. The justifications some people use in justifying this show and some of its characters are borderline superficial and terrifyingly ridiculous.
I cannot for the love of God think what’s extraordinary about the main female lead. She’s the titular character. We are suppose to like her to the point where we want to be like her in certain manners. Maybe we want their courage, their strength, or optimism. We want to be like Wonder Woman. There’s nothing in Danoh that screams to me I should be like her and I should emulate her.
It’s not only Danoh. Haru and Baek have no other aspirations besides chasing love.
I didn’t sign up for this. A high rated mdl drama should be better than chasing the ordinary.

On top of Baek Kyung acting like a psychopath, Danoh is essentially only fighting to live for Haru rather than for herself and for her love ones, Squid fairy is an obnoxious obstacle. The male leads overshadowed danoh although this is her story. The writers made her useless. She becomes a damsel in distress. The list can go on and on.
Its cool if you like the show. I think it’s overhyped and the inflated ratings here will mislead people like it did for me. I don’t think anyone can honestly say that this show is the second best drama of all time.

Seriously. What irks me more is that its mdl rating is the highest for any show I ever seen on this site since early on. Since it is that high at 9.2, I was expecting brilliance, a near masterpiece of a drama. I can’t help but think that mdl got hacked.
I got busy with life and I finally just marathon like the last 6 or 7 episodes. What the fudge. This show derailed. I got angrier and more disappointed with each episode. No wonder it got abysmal ratings in Korea, the Koreans probably had the 6th sense that this show was going to fail at maintaining the good flow in the first half so that’s probably why they stayed away from this show from the very beginning. This show, Flower Agency, Abyss, and Melting Me Softly are the most disappointing shows of 2019. MELT is the worst of them all. I want to ship all the writers from these shows back to writing academy. Never trusting MDL ratings ever again, that’s the primary reason I started watching this show.

It's your prerogative to think like that but I really think it's far-fetched to say the show is low-key shaming women who are different physically @candycoffee really explained adequately. I agree there are many cases where women has been exploited for the sake of humor based on weight but that hasn't been done here.
There literally has been no scene where the audience would laugh HAHAHA or have cheap laughs at the expense of the women being fat or looking not attractive. The women corps in this show are praised as heroes (there was a scene when they said they will go to the neighboring village to look for a so called pervert) and they were cheered. Once again this women supporting all women in a women village. There's no cliques. There no one group of women looking down or bullying another group of women. A widow village working together with gisaseng(they're also looked down), that's unthinkable.
