I love a good childhood friends to lovers trope when it's done right (like Fight For My Way), but I hate it when it's done like in the dramas you listed. It's lazy writing! Them knowing each other as kids in those situations was so dumb and unnecessary. If I find out that some stupid childhood connections is in a drama I'm watching, I drop it. Hate that shit.
I posted a few days ago about why I dislike the male lead right now. It's not because he rejected her, nor is…
It was good of him to leave her alone but up until that point and when they met again he continued to do and say things that are inappropriate with someone you know likes you. Those calls she kept making were inappropriate and she contradicted herself, but they further proved that she couldn't get over him romantically. There's no way he didn't know she was still into him, making his actions comes across as callous and selfish.
However, now that I'm thinking about it he probably is damaged emotionally from his upbringing and doesn't even realize how his actions would be hurting her. And that explains why she wants to completely cut off contact at the end of episode 2. Their friendship as it stands will be toxic to one of them no matter what. It's honestly sad for both of them. He's lonely and needs her as a friend but she's in love with him and can't be just friends. It's a shitty situation.
There's 14 episodes left so I wouldn't worry about the audience growing to like him or not seeing his backstory. He's funny and charming in an untraditional sense which I like. Plus he and the female lead have good chemistry. I'm excited to see how or if their dynamic changes.
Is everyone just mad at him bc he rejected her twice? No one is obligated to accept anyone's confessions no matter…
I posted a few days ago about why I dislike the male lead right now. It's not because he rejected her, nor is it because he just wants to stay friends. But because she has been very vocal about her inability to stay just friends. She has been unable to move past her own feelings for years and it's causing her pain being just friends. That's not the male lead's fault at all HOWEVER, when she has multiple times now tried to set boundaries with him and he disrespects those boundaries is where I start having an issue with him. Also, telling an ordinary friend that you miss them would be fine, but saying that to someone you know likes you is cruel. He doesn't care about how their friendship hurts her and is being selfish.
But there has only been two episodes and there is a ton of time left for character development. I already quite like his personality, I just really want him to show some growth and learn to consider how she is feeling.
My guess is that the ML here actually likes FL, but doesn't know that concept due to his upbringing.
I have nothing wrong with him rejecting her, it's him not respecting her feelings. He knows she likes him and that it's hard for her to be around him but he keeps forcing himself into her life. And he should be mindful of how his words affect her. He keeps saying sweet things that make her who has romantic feelings for him confused. He should be respecting her boundaries.

Yeah he most likely does but I still don't want them to be together. Unless he does some major work to get past his issues, their relationship will be toxic. He hasn't been treating her right at all. But there's only two episodes so far, plenty of time for some good character development.
I hope this drama pulls the Uno reverse card like A Poem a Day did and have the female lead actually end up with the sweet supportive other guy and not the typical cold jerk male lead that she liked first.
I really loved the first two episodes. The female lead is so adorable and sincere with her feelings. I hope the rest of the drama is good too!
Both of the leads are such dorks, they're adorable I love them. They both have really good comedic timing. I thought the male lead character was going to be more douchey but he's hilarious. I'm digging it.
I agree with the other comments. They really should have just gone all in on the reverse harem aspect. Like, it's already cheesy and cliche as hell they may as well have let the four super hot guys all fall for her, it would have been wayyy more fun that way.
My desire to rewatch is strong, but who knows when the other adaptation will randomly announce that it's about to air. I don't want the plot to be too fresh in my mind. Uuuugh, anyone know anything similar to this?
I reeeally hope this is a girls love. Even if they have to paint it as sismance because of Chinese censors I'm fine with that. I just want SOMETHING lmao. And I really like the leads, they look so good together.
