„Good lord” – face attacking religious taboo language; aim: express a range of negative emotions (irritation, annoyance) to get attention
„you think a lot of yourself, don't you?” – argumentum ad personam - ironical rhetorical question with face-attacking and face-treating effect, aim: belittle opponent’s claim by pointing to his / her real or fictional personal qualities
„I think possibly YOU need to read that as well. Preaching to people about being polite when you yourself are acting above it all is rather hypocritical.“ – argumentum ad hominem – aim: looking for opponent’s claims, which could be in contrary to way of his actions - I was asertive in my opinion and little impolite, because I’m not English speaker, but I’m sure, I wasn’t rude.
„acting above it all“ - argumentum ad personam, aim: insulting opponent‘s character and trying forced him or her intentions, which he / she doesn't have.
„I suggest you just stop. Deal or go away.“ – false dilemma, situation is oversimplified by speaker, opponent gets only two options; aim: restrain of opponents actions, opponent can’t response in any way to win. Speaker gains ilusion of winner in argumentation and moral victory.
„Or quit being surprised when others do to you as you do to them.“ - Speaker makes this claim to perserve his/her own face, before it will be used by opponent in the future.
„LOL” – interjection, emotional expression of dismay, aim: accentuation of speaker’s claim.
„I like being snarky to those that deserve it.“ – centre of whole response, other sentences are unnessesary and meaningless for our discusion, moreover they violate all Grice’s maxims (quantity, quiality, relation, manner). Now I undestand your attitude, but... I miss your criterion for those who „deserve it“, I get our case - one of us takes path of impolitenes, second one path of rudeness in our conversation, so our criterion is „opposites of politeness“, but I don’t see nothing „deserving“ in this comment: „Original CM fans be like: I will watch this just to make sure that it is inferior to the original.“ I think that was only a little bit ironical and quite jovial.
Please, can you write your possibly response about this topic of our conversation not about how much I have fingers or teeths?
Your argumentation (with me) is rude and manipulative empty nothing, you say, it's snarky. „Snarky“..., it’s interesting to think about, why there is someone, who stylizes himself/herself willingly into evil person to hurts people because of their imaginary felonies. I have not such word in my national language, so I have never tried to behave this way, but I’m sure, that you’re happy with my effort of snarky response for you, I’m great student, you know.

@TeleriFerchNyfain I have not any problems with your opinions, they are acceptable, even though sometimes they are radical and untolerant, but your way of expression is very face-attacking, impolite, sarcastic, agressive and provocative. Can you please don't use any argumentum ad hominem and ad personam, it's wrong technique of discussion. I would like to suggest you 8th chapter of this book: http://qisar.fssr.uns.ac.id/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Qisar-Geoffrey-Leech-The-Pragmatics-of-Politeness.pdf
I don't know, what should I think about this show, it's funny, but so much antifeministic, every time I'm watching it, it's reminding me act one of Ibsen's Dollhouse.
Previous version was realistic and character-driven, this version plot-driven with lots of stereotypical nang rais... hope it will be more believable and less angsty.
Edit: It's getting better.
I had great expectations, because I love Arang and Magistrate, yes, Monstar was failure for me, but I had faith in this scriptwriter. My first thought was: I don't like imitation of scenes from You're beautiful (wild boar, trailer's bidet), there they are purposeless or unoriginal. Other scenes look like fanservice (kiss, hugging in car trunk). Another thing, why every korean woman have to be so much unprofessional? She's psychiatrist, but I don't want be her klient! She's another clumsy doll for men. She's not strong counterpart for arogant male lead who calls her like slave. She should be manager, big boss in company, someone, who gives orders, then they would be strong opponents.
GUYS. SHE DOES COME FROM THE PRESENT. How do we know? watch the opening scene. Her tattoo from present life fades,…
I suppose, there is more komplex reason too. Firstly, people are mostly watching western movies and dramas for entertainment, but comunistic production has "higher" aim. In the old times there was genre socialistic realism and there was rules from Soviet union, how to write soc. real. stories. This stories should have forming impact on people, they should make new poeople, new thinking, new ethic, but they were wery simple, repetitive, unoriginal and extremly boring. Times changes, but the base of this genre you can find in chinese dramas (mostly fantasy and historical) nowadays. Secondly, chinese movies and dramas disseminate communistic ideals and chinese values, so government wants less entertaining elements, which could distract intended effect. Idea of time travels disrespects history according censors of China. So I think that this banning is part of strengthening the political regime.
I think, this lakorn is inspired by great american young adult epistolary novel from 1912 - Daddy-Long-Legs written by Jean Webster. But there is not any enigmatic benefactor.
My feelings are going crazy. I love 8th prince, but omg man your are married!!! Like they honestly work as a couple,…
It's OK, I realy agree with C, I don't see any point in this time traveling, if Hae Soo won't bring into history any modern norms. She should be the one, who would stay faithful to nowadays standards. Or at least she should have very very strong remorse. But when I saw her with the bottle in the beggining, I don't think she will have strong willpower. :-( I see Boleyns sisters quite problematic, young king Henry loved their mother at first. Moreover queen Anne was only member of Boleyn family, who helped her sister, after Mary's secret marriage with her poor lover, Marry also named her daughter like Anne, so I think there wasn't so much bad blood between them because of Henry VIII.
My feelings are going crazy. I love 8th prince, but omg man your are married!!! Like they honestly work as a couple,…
4th prince will be married too. Infidelity wasn't bad thing in history, marital fidelity is fenomen of modern culture. Please read some spoilers bellow, or this page about one lover of european medieval king: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_of_Kuenring
oh no.. i'm already starting to feel so bad for lady Hae :( i hate it when spouses are entwined with a lovestory…
But this drama is set in time of marriages for childbearing and gaining of power, if wife of powerful man is ill, gravely ill or she can't have baby, she has duty found out solution, on the top of the man could even divorces his wife. Sometimes wife selected her favorites lady-in-waiting for position of husban's lover. Infidelity had been bad only for woman because of uncertain origin of her childrem, but I don't think that there had been country in the world, where people would criticize man for infidelity. Everything started change in modern times. And one more thing, our heroine should be in history, not in nice fantasy history. This is example from my country: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_of_Kuenring
Someone please tell me if the main lead has cancer? I watched the first two episodes and it looked like it was…
There will be no dying. How many people die for breast cancer? Quite little: 10-30% of patients. It's refreshing to see cancer like normal complicated illness. moreover, he has the first stage, so this drama would be probably about life after cancer, and this is quite interesting. :)
Too much sweet, it's like crunching of sugar. At first I thought, it could be something like You've got mail. Wrong. Then I hoped for some hidden intentions of main hero, for example revenge, trickery, or at least something like Cheese in trap. Wrong. OK, it could be slice of life, but... I don't see even resemblance with reality. Smart and good looking university students have time for playing games every day. I'm university senior, my school day starts at 7 or 9, and ends at 6 in the evening for five days in week, I don't have time even for my essays! Secondly, playing games is addictive, so there is high probability, that succesful and clever people get worse results in their school and work, but this rule doesn't exist in this dramaworld. Thirdly, this world was created by woman who doesn't know men, Mr. Perfect is so much perfect, that is whole girl's fantasy. So there is no slice of life, it's slice of fangirling fantasy. Fourth, girlfriends of main heroine are very irritating, they are like stupid high school students. Fifthly, communication between main couple is quite awkward and she doesn't help. Now I know, why is so much important have two contradictory people, because similar protagonists doesn't create much tension for story. Whole drama reminds me japanese high school mangas, it's something I would not expected in drama from campus. It's too much easygoing, immature and unauthentic for me, but I think it's very well watchable for other people. Moreover I'm fascinated, that spectator's impression from this drama is quite nice despite lapses mentioned above. I'm sorry for my opinion and bad english.
I'm being objective so don't flame me. I just don't think the drama is as awesome as I anticipated it to be. It's…
They tried to adapt story for korean history. It's second time I see Wang So in drama (Shine or go crazy) and despite of that both dramas were fictionalized fusion sageuk, he was outcast too, he lived out of city, but he was king's and crown prince's man. Real historical person should be very cruel too (with noblemans especialy): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwangjong_of_Goryeo
This dramas is about interpreters, so it should be about interpretation, if second part of drama deviate from this premise, there should be ending with interpretation and work, but in the end last episode seems rushed, weird and without relation to presumed plot. This illness wasn't mortal for character, but it was for drama.
Firstly, I wrote it in April and secondly first two episodes looked like plagiarism. But thank you for notifation, because my spoiler really is misleading now.
I’m sorry for my english. I looked into your list of thai dramas and I found, that you are quite newbie in lakorns. I think, that you have experiences with series from channel 3, which brings quite quality content (or we can say average and easily watchable) in last years to Thailand’s ratio. The lakorns of channel 7 are more, how should I call it, erotic (hugging, kissing), but quality of their shows is unsettled, one is good (old ones), other is bad (some new ones). Firstly, lakorns uses very tiresome cliche – I suppose, that bigger half of the country must be jealous nutcases, police in Thailand is good for nothing (exception are dramas about police), every average criminal has weapons, bombs and so on. There is normal, that woman orders rape of another woman, there are slap and kiss (and rape)… Plenty of scenes are redundant and stupid, it could be said in few minutes. And! female lead (or male lead) can tell true, but none trust her, because everyone trusts only some absurd ideas and suggestions, so logic is endangered species in lakorn! Secondly the worst lakorns are poorly executed, there is not even one authentic (believable) situation, everything feels very artificial, acting is untrustworthy, they are overacting and the dialogs are terrible. Both dramas of this Fire series have most of these flaws. This two lakorns remind me parody, but it shouldn‘t! For example, mostly scenes and dialogs were written like by amateurs. Characters are absolutely dull, blind, deaf (even for thai characters) with IQ of children and they recite their texts like to children. I feel, this series is one of those, which trying you to turns into idiot. The premise of the plot of this series is not bad, problem is in the execution. You have some much more better lakorns in your list.

So I suppose, the drama goes to end like Princess' Man.
