This genre is socialistic realism (genre created in Soviet unition for communist people), every situation, every black and white character and idea of this show (world without wars) is typical for every soc. real. movie or book from communism era. (There is Orwell's allusion: War is peace.) I don't see nothing spectacular in this drama, it's only little bit more implicit then revolutionary dramas created decades ago, but nothing new.

Main heroine is exceptionaly prototypical Mary Sue - tragical past, irresistible grey mouse without any other features except of goodness. I realy don't see reason, why EVERY man (sometimes even woman) in Shanghai kneels before her. I would accept, if only main guy had problem with love for the first sight, but every man...? It's quite repetitive and unbeliveable. It's realy "cruel" for viewer, but there is nothing like "cruel romance" in the end.
Everything is changed in this version, scenes, characters. I also suppose, there won't be little brother. I don't know if original plot (story) can survive, it was built on personalities of characters. Little disappointing, but it can get another good orientation. Edit: There will be little brother. The story goes better, little different, but maybe they manage stay similar but original.
Positives: nice, funny, romantic, generally likable story. He's gentleman, she is eccentric, spoiled, later kind (second pair is opposite to them). Negatives: second part a little graggy. Story is simple and didactic. One of the better lakorn.
This is little bit Thai version of USA movie Just Like Heaven (2005), and much better verion of similar thai story from 2012 Pang Sanaeha. It's creepy, funny, nice and romantic. All characters are complex, interesting. Story is logic without holes. Only problem I have with deus ex machina (thunderbolt) at the end. Despite it, this is one of the best lakorns, it's likable for general audience.

One of my first watched lakorns (watched 2014), that time I had quite high expectations so I was able watched until end only little lakorns. Main couple was very cute, and her brother! He was funny and adorable (I love scene in hospital)! Even I didn't mind kidnapping (I didn't know that it's typical lakorns trope), in some lakorns is like punch for viewer, WTF. Story was nice, light, comedic, romantic without the worst thai cliches.
Firstly, he should prepare bulletproof plan to revenge. But we are in thai lakorn... First half looks like that his plan go smoothly, but in the second part he panicked and went to physical abuse. He was more and more cruel though I don't think that it had to be so much intense. Revenge should be with calm mind. Little more logic and rationality in revenge is not bad. I liked his indecision only when he couldn't hurt heroine.
First slap and kiss (and probably last) lakort I liked. It's 30 years old story, but there are more creative variations then in younger slap and kiss lakorns, mainly in permeation of "nang ek" and "nang rai". People behave reasonable and they are quite inteligent, romance is also believable. Last episodes give me hard time, because I can't accept violence, but I didn't get scared of Veekit unlike other heroes of slap and kiss lakorns. What I realy don't like is bittersweet forgiveness in the end between heroine and Napa. I have feeling that there is more important your action that your intention in thai religion, and forgiveness erases whole past, but everything is motivated by selfish motive, to have good karma.
Yelling and violence, rape, very ill jealousy. Really does viewer believe, that after marriage would be everything alright? No other emotional blackmail, abuse?
Until they left Thailand it was good. After that I hoped, that Nam would help prince in his country (like heroine in Cubic), I was wrong... hurray for women who create problems for their lovers!
Slap and kiss (= rape) is problem itself for me. In first half of this show I hated only storyline of harem's woman and aunt. In the middle of show I realized, that I don't think, hero loves heroine, and then suddenly he claims, that he loves her. But so far it was quite original and new plot. Second half was like from other bad slap and kiss lakorns, both lovers were destroying everything around them. There were ill jealousy of hero, ill love of villain, then kidnapping, rape, shackles, imprisonment,... Even though it wasn't so cruel and scriptwriters reduced violence, essence is same: woman is nothing more then the pet, which must be tamed, she is only producer of children, she can't be equal with men in thai culture. In the end main reason why she should return to her husband is, she is pregnant, she is possession of her husband, it's typical perverse end of this genre. This genre is celebration of hypocrisy. Although heroine don't want be defeat or raped, she happy accepted it in the end, this is product of thai hypocrisy culture. Thais should accept contraception and woman's right of choice, equality and their sexuality, then this ill genre could die. I hope, this is last slap and kiss of Push.
If I didn't know nothing about larkons, I would say, villain was crazy psychopath. But in context of other lakorns I have to say, she was rational psychopath, and I could found reasons for her behavior a little bit understandable. Secondly it's mature lakorn even in quality. You can feel relationship between characters, even their psychology and motives. Ploy played eccentric but submissive character, this temperament is reason of her unhappy marriages. Pope is real gentleman, who is not stupid and not to much noble idiot. One of the best thai lakorns in term of psychology, story and logic.
And she cry and cry and cry. She was terrified, he was ice and only scriptwriter somehow thought, that they love each other. LOL Very weak period show.
Reason, why I dropped King of High School Life Conduct, was terrible stupid main female character, she wasn't cute or vulnerable, but crazy slave. This drama came from same script writer and same heroine. Her Kim Hye Jin isn't so much ugly, she looks common, but her behavior also is terrible. In her childhood she was like intelligent lady and now? Most of scenes wasn't funny but awkward, because KHJ lost common sense and intelligence, not only appearance. At first everything looked interesting in this drama, but heroine is disastrous even for asian dramaland. I don't know, if there is chance for rescue of this show.
