Check out Taxi Driver and Boesam, they are both fantastic. also take a look at Doom at your service, it's a really…
I know that first 4 episodes of any drama are pre-filmed and then the rest is filmed weekly and largely depends on audience feedback. Which is why dramas tend to have strong start until feedback messes up everything. TOTNT also started strong and had an amazing horror opening, but then things started to get wobbly around Ep 5 and 6 and then complete trainwreck by the end. Uncanny Counter started strong and then ep 5-6 it took a turn towards boring politics and away from evil spirit hunting and those 2 plots never gelled and felt like 2 different dramas awkwardly stitched together. So if Doom survives next 4 episodes without any jarring or subtle changes (that might lead to late tranwreck), let me know and I'll give it a try. so-called (well, in my slang ha ha ha) feedback episodes 5 and 6 are to look for such signs, and 7 and 8 or so-called filler scale are to look for whether the drama has enough material for tight storytelling or they are starting to pad the running time to justify 16 ep format. So yes, please find me with your opinion! :)

Thanks! I will check Taxi Driver for sure if Viki has it. I'll have to pass on sageuk cause I really don't like them with the exception of Kingdom (but that's zombie fusion that makes sageuk setting interesting in the context) and Doom At Your Service synopsis reminds me of Tale of the Ninetailed aka Kwilight which was a massive mess and WTF where they thinking. So I'll wait for that one to be completely over and see whether it maintained the quality or went off rails.

I am glad I didn't watch it lol because now I cant with Lee Min Ho dramas
I thought he saved BoF cause he has self-deprecating sense of humor which made his douchy character endearing. That said, KTEM was the worst drama I've ever seen. Bad and boring at the same time. I don't mind bad and fun or good and slow but this thing had the worst combo so I had to drop it after 2.5 torturous hours (2 eps and a half).

I haven't watched any of the above but lost it at True booty. hats off to you
ha ha thank you! I'm super frustrated by drama chasteness especially since most of them are aired at 10:30 pm so why keep them G when at least PG-13 should do? Also, K movies are big on graphic smut so the gap between that and TV is strange.

My "Everyone Seems to Love Them Except Me" List:

SPOILERS NATURALLY :)

#4 Blah-villera. This supposedly heartwarming drama about an out of shape 70something grandpa who wants to become Nureyev (not just learn ballet for hobby but dance on the stage cause that's where out of shape 70somethings with dementia belong) stretched its ridiculous premise to 12 episodes even though a 90 min TV movie would be more than sufficient. The result is a boring mess punctuated with the terrible transitions between actors who can't dance for **** and their ballet doubles who don't even resemble the actors. So we get a lot of "headless" dancing which looks ugly. There are the usual drama complications that nobody ever asks for, such as some convoluted subplot involving Song Kang's nefarious father and his abuse of his football team, grandpa's good for nothing children, etc. All skip material...unless you are an insomniac in which case this should knock you out better than any sedative.

#3 Extra-boring-ular. Highschool kid earns money by pimping adults and minors over the phone. So far so good right? WRONG! This drama is 98% about ML losing and then trying to find his sex traffick phone before he's busted and 2% sex trafficking (and those scenes involving kidnapped sex workers are played for absurd laughs). Why this thing garnered so much praise is beyond me. It's completely off topic and actors are completely unlikable and dull. File in your sedative cabinet with Blahvillera.

#2 True Booty...well, if only. An overly chaste teenage drama about a pretty but pimpled Ma Ri Su who naturally attracts attention of the 2 hottest guys at school cause reasons should have used some booty call steam. Instead, the repetitive "oh noes, what if someone sees my bare face? Should we hold hands in public?" dilemma got stretched over 16 episodes of non-existing plot and non-existing love triangle yet somehow kept pretense that both were there to justify so many wasted hours. The show was over in episode 8 when Ma Ri Su kissed ML who loved her as she was, saved her from suiciding herself and whom she met when they were kids which in dramaland means soulmates and endgame. Yet for the next 8, 2ML and audience were led on to think that maybe just maybe childhood sweetheart crapola wouldn't prevail...but it did. Personally, I wished ML and 2ML ditched Ma Ri Su since she didn't care for either, at least not as much as they cared for her, and shacked it up together. After all, ML held 2ML's pee pee when 2ML broke his leg so if that isn't the beginning of a beautiful BLship, I don't know what is.

#1 Kwilight - not exactly a beloved drama but with 8.3 rating on MDL, it falls in that category regardless of frustration that is easily detected in many reviews and comments. A Nine Tailed Fox/Mountain God and a Snake/Failed Dragon God fall in love with a human, but unlike the famous trio from Forks, Washington, Fox and human are too old (36 and 30 respectively) to behave like jaded teenagers. It isn't really a love triangle either though it flirts with the idea, but then, this drama flirts with so many ideas it could have easily been split into several independent dramas. In examples above, dramas suffered for lack of ideas thus recycling tired beats over and over. This one had too many ideas but no clue which ones to keep and which ones to lose. It started as one thing, ended up as something else and boasts the worst final episode I've ever seen in my life and I've seen plenty of infamously bad ones. Also, for something so obviously inspired by Twilight, it was absurdly low on shirtlessness which is always a big strike down. I can forgive mess but not the lack of beefy eye candy.

Review Navillera
I agree with what you wrote, but there were a couple of touching moments near the end of episodes 7 and 8. That…
Indeed MDL ratings tends to be baffling. Very often they are too high especially for teen tripe and too low for something that actually has merit. I guess when fanboys and fangirls vote it's always way biased.

Congratulations to all winners! Lee Dohyun, I'm so proud of you!
Lee Do Hyun should have competed in Actor. New Actor is basically a compensation to everyone they left out but he should have made the cut. At least he won and it's well deserved.

Look at the poster of "voice of silence" and Yoo Ah In in award acceptance. They are the same person!! His roles…
so true. He's really handsome but doesn't shy away from deglam roles. He put on weight and died his hair blond for #Alive. Super transformative actor, disappears into a role. Nice butt too (Burning). :)
