It's like it combined all the asadoras I have watched lol. Amachan - Natsu's character is very similar . Also a country bumpkin who finds new career in the city. I kinda like Nounen Rena's acting better though. I imagine her playing this character and would kill it. Hiyokko - It has the same missing family member plot. Gochisousan - The eccentric husband is very similar to Sakaba. The husband's knowledge in science would inspire the main character's cooking. Here, Sakaba's pilosophy has influence on Natsu's drawing.
Yeo Ji Na is dead. Just like that. Although I would have wanted her to start a new life but things happen in life. What's important is she was lucky enough to have turn a new leaf which is I guess the writer's message in this ending.
This drama actually has good writing. It's only fault is its low budget.
The 2003 version is one of my favorite chinese drama but having recently watched Nice To Meet You with Janice Man, makes it hard to resist not watching. But from what I remember, Wang Yu Yan does not have many screen time and there was nothing outstanding about her except her beauty. Also underage Crystal Liu had a naked scene in it which was weird.
4 episodes so far and I feel like I will enjoy this drama. Also I am beginning to like the cast. They match well with the characters. For daily dramas, liking the cast is really important for me.
Hopefully it improves. There are so many secrets in store so I'm curious how it goes when the characters find out about them. Also I'm kinda worried about Chungyi's dad. Cause one of the characters knew one of these secrets and she was the only one who knew about it and she died. Her father is in the same situation right now so... Hopefully it gets addictive again and stop becoming repetitive with the bad people keep getting caught and then keep getting away part. And hopefully, more Chungyi and dad scenes. As for romance, I dont particularly follow romances but right now, the main leads are together and their past childhood connection is still not revealed. So I guess the romance is okay.
Its a low production typical makjang drama but i actually find the writing interesting.
This guy playing Wuji, I saw him in that movie Monga and I remember him doing great. But in this drama, I don't know if it's just me but every time he makes that gentle face expression, it looks weird. It has this "Wuji is a fake person and just acting kind" sort of feel to me lol. Where as compared to the one playing Zang bei yi, he's a really good actor. He did great in ten miles of peach blossoms. This one as well.
Everyone gets a happy ending except for Yui and Hiroshi. The other guy is dense and the drama has done so much injustice to poor Yui, literally stomped on her until she give up her dreams. Save for those, drama is good.
