This is also my frustration with daily dramas. Protagonists are always the foolish martyr archetype. It's because it is needed to avoid solving mysteries and conflicts too early and probably also because in the real world, a lot of nice people are too honest and too trustful for their own good and never have enough experience to cook up schemes and lies. The good thing is a lot of dramas do redeem the character near the end especially the ones where the character go through prolonged agony. Some characters retain a portion of their kindness and some turned completely savage like those dramas, Yellow Boots and The Promise, starred by Lee Yuri. The bad thing is, this usually happens late like after 80 episodes. And many people already dropped the drama before it happens

Warning Ahead: Golden Garden Spoilers.

This drama is also a bit similar with another recent MBC drama, Golden Garden. Maybe the writer is thinking about a Blessing of the Sea/Golden Garden hybrid drama. In Golden Garden, the second lead male got involved in a hit and run as well. The second female lead helped cover up the incident. The second female lead's mother did all the dirty work. The difference, is the victim lived in that drama, and in this drama the second lead male's mother did all the dirty work. Just based on these similarities, my predictions could be right. It's likely that the mother will indeed get involved in a car accident in the finale like how the mother run over her daughter in Golden Garden. And it is also likely that she is Yeon Soo's biological mother and her friend somehow end up adopting her. It's kinda like paralleled with Haeun's life as well. Also if I remember currectly she said Minhyuk isn't her biological son. Maybe they're going with "This is bad love, we're siblings!" story. But actually they're not.

I'm avoiding it because it's a remake of Come Jang Bori which I have already watched. I know the drama will be different. I don't understand but for some reason I'm avoiding it for now.

I'm going to make my predictions just based on how this drama is like a blatant copy from Blessing of the sea. Be warned: Spoilers from Blessing of the sea ahead:
1. Yeon Su is actually Min Hyuk's mother's daughter. In blessing of the sea, 2nd male lead was the son of the male villain. So in both dramas, both parent and child are sworn enemies.
2. Min Hyuk's mother dies inside a car in a car accident. In blessing of the sea, villain dies from falling of a building. People falling from high places was a recurring theme from that drama. From what I see in MBC dramas, they like to kill off their villains and they're usually killed off differently from other previous dramas. And they've already done suicide, falling from building, run over by car, and illness from the previous dramas I've seen. Blaunt trauma to the head from falling objects is also another possibility since we saw earlier how Eunhye almost got smashed by a rock .
3, All secrets get revealed to one person. That person dies. Possible victim: Sowon's mother, Hyuk's father, or Hojin(probably after a tearjerking reunion with her daughter but less likely because of an ongoing noona romance).
4. Grand daughter(Yeon Su's daughter) gets kidnapped by grand mother(Min Hyuk's mother).
5. Yeon Su dies helplessly from illness when she's finally trying to turn a new leaf and seeks love from her daughter. I think they'll go with illness since it's not been done a lot before. Can't really get over how Jina just suddenly died in blessing of the sea in the final episode.
6. Minhyuk's mother and Secretary tries to kill each other. Minhyuk's mother have done wrong to the Secretary in the past. Secretary does not know.

If you watched Blessing of the Sea(most likely not) which aired months ago, you'll notice many similarities. I'll just enumerate them:
1. Dad having no knowledge about her daughter who just happens to live in the same house.
2. Another family member adopting said daughter.
3. 2nd female lead abandoning her daughter at the orphanage.
4. 2nd female lead flies abroad and comes home with some prestigious education.
5. female lead and second female lead lands a job at the same company.
6. Good elder and bad elder who have influence in the company.
7. Amnesia a.k.a Pandora's Box.
8. Someone got hit by a car and dies. In Blessing of the Sea, it happened much much later.
9. Noona-dongsaeng in a "some" relationship. Noona being the aggressive one.
10. Company runs a clothing business.
11. Male lead had long hair earlier in the drama.
12. Characters engaged on some research about clothing.
13. AND FINALLY MOST IMPORTANTLY - THE BACKDROP THE BLEEDING FKNG BACKDROP! In the first episode I was like, Did they just use the same backdrop from blessing of the sea for the title. THEY EVEN USED THE SAME FONT. HOLY SHT

And you know what? I have no complaints. Blessing of the Sea was a masterpiece. The writer did right to copy it. Good job.

If you're talking about the scene at first episode, it was not a wedding. It was a company event (anniversary I think). He recently found out that his enemy happens to be her aunt(or mother's friend?). And she got outed at the event for conniving with her aunt's schemes which she does not know of. Poor girl was lied to by her aunt and was misunderstood by her boyfriend.

I watch this months ago though, so I have poor memory of it.

For me, yes. But my taste is usually unpopular. This one has romeo-juliet elements. People try to break them apart. The jealous second female lead messes with the female lead. The typical soap opera, I guess. But the two leads have good chemistry.

I have avoided watching condor heroes because I though it was going to have a tragic end like many chinese dramas. But this one and its prequel have very happy endings.

My only complaint is that, although this drama has a perfect cast, the cgi in this drama is just intolerable most of the times. The action scenes in the beginning were really enjoyable to watch. They were very long and has many memorable moments. After a while, it felt like the action scenes are not well thought and lazy.

Also Crystal Liu is probably the most beautiful woman out there in this planet. I can't think of anyone who can beat her in terms of beauty.

I also felt like I need to vent out my frustration with Huang Rong. In the prequel, although she was a troublemaker, she's usually just being naughty and mischievous. I thought that was just her character. But in this drama, although she has this calm demeanor, she's done so many troubles to the main couple. Not only does she breaks the two apart, she's done injustice to the two condors. How can you send the two birds into danger while stand there and just watch? The two birds ended up like Rome and Juliet. I can only blame her for it.

For some unexpected reason, a drama with Wallace Huo and Yang Mi does not have complete subtitles.

Any more dramas like this? Something like a soap opera with people in glamorous outfits, beautiful actress, and melodrama elements? Most chinese dramas I find that are not historical are mostly those cheesy romcom types. It' s hard to find something I like.

And why are most dramas I like have low ratings? This is only 7.9? Seriously?

I deleted my comment because it seems that I'm the only person in the planet who does not like this film and it reveals my shallowness and lack of appreciation for deep artsy films. Welp, back to watching my daily dramas.

I was really attracted to Su Ji for her Tsundere character event to the point that I find the actress prettier than Cho Yoon Soo. But now that she's messing with the female lead, I guess not anymore. On the other hand, Cho Yoon Soo, be it an evil character or a foolish female lead, she's a goddess.

I was hoping Juri's brother was faithful because that would have been more interesting to watch while his wife becomes paranoid until he proves her wrong. Like the one I watched in Three Brothers. But yeah this one is a d*ck;

I think it's a lot more enjoyable to watch if you watched the prequel and remember the characters and the story.

For example it's ironic how Huang Rong disliked Yang Gor's naughtiness when Huang Rong herself was the same when she was younger and only changed after meeting her husband. If you have not watched the prequel, you would not know this irony.

Not much / Barely have. The second lead female is out for the second lead male's money. The lead male's aunt has a crush for the female lead's brother. I like the aunt so good luck to her.

I you watched "Everybody says Kungdari"(most likely not), you'll notice their first house in this drama is also the same house they used in Everybody says Kungdari for the Song family but they changed the decorations. In the open area between the gate and the rooms(I don't know what they call it), you can even see the mountain over the wall, which is most likely just a drawing because the house is probably inside a production set.

I'm liking the manager aunt. I think the male lead takes from her. Being crazy and eccentric. How they'll trouble the female lead makes the whole drama exciting for me.

The unpopular MBC daily dramas never disappoint me.

I think you just nailed the entire point of the drama and hence the title Bad Love.
