there is a huge problem with the female portrating. it's not new in Kdrama, but this one point it out so i think…

Everyone can agree that the brother shouldn't date the sister-in-law but it's actually funny because the niece warned him not to date someone like her aunt. I think all these absurd things written in these drama is intentional to make the drama fun to watch.

Ok so we're getting some battle of wits from here and there. But the drama feels so serious and gloomy.

For me, the main character peaked at that part when he saved the Ming cult. After that there was no character development in terms of martial arts, personality, etc. Rather, there was a decline because most of the time, people just took advantage of him. I actually expected that he takes after his parents which would make him the perfect main character. His mother was cunning, intelligent, and charismatic. His father was virtuous, kind, but he was firm and has steadfast conviction. But their child fell short of everything. He was easily manipulated and easily influenced.

Because of the points I mentioned above, I liked the main characters of the previous two prequels better. Both of them showed consistent growth and attained maturity. My favorite would be the main character of Return of the Condor Heroes because he actually did surpass the main character in its prequel. The author also did not introduced anything new for Zang Wuji unlike in the prequels where the main characters discover a relic that would improve their skills. I guess the problem is the lack of a stronger rival. Although Zhirou would have been that person, but that rivalry was very short and offers very little threat.

In conclusion, this drama was epic in its first half. The second half was rather more frustrating than epic. I wish he just ditched the Ming cult, protect his love, and take on an entire army of Mongols by himself. I mean this is what the main character in the Return of the Condor Heroes did. His comrades were more of a burden than help.

Also in some angles, the actor looks like Aga Mulach's long lost twin brother. lol.

I also barely recognized that the actress playing Yin Li was also that b*tch from Princess Agent. In this drama, she looks like she has darker complexion and looks a lot like Yang Zi

There could also be a possibility that YeonSu could be Chairman Han’s illegitimate daughter where YeonSu will…
Having amnesia is I believe probably the ideal end for villains. But this is only if they showed remorse before having amnesia. The amnesia helps them forget the past. Regretting past wrongdoings especially one where you cause someone's death is like one of the most painful things you can experience in life. Most people at that point usually commit suicide. Case in point - Judas from the bible.

There's actually a drama called Unknown Woman where the villain had an amnesia in the finale. She discovered that the woman she antagonized in the entire drama was actually her long lost daughter. She was suppose to commit suicide but survived and she had amnesia. Later the daughter found her after being lost but her mother couldn't recognize her. That was the ending scene. Okay that's a spoiler. But I gave that drama an 8 because it got really annoying in the middle. They keep teasing that part where the secret is about to be revealed but it didn't. And then they repeat that many times until it got really annoying to the point where you want to stop watching it.

Anyways, if a person showed no remorse before getting amnesia. I think it's just unfair. It's like when people commit suicide to avoid punishment. But this is worse. Not only will the person avoid punishment but she gets a chance to fulfill her goals without implicating herself about her past. Also, it does not really redeem herself since she would already be a different person who just happens to be kind and isn't really a person who remember doing such things, feels regret and decides to change.

And then there's the Choi family. They won't find justice. Hiding the truth was one thing, but Yeonsu did cause Eunhye's death and she also attempted to murder Eunhye at the hospital. They have every right to say she does not deserve happiness. I would feel frustrated if I were them.

Yeonsu as a person having an amnesia definitely deserves happiness as this is just the same person from the beginning of her life up to the current without the bad deeds. But if that happiness also means the fulfillment of her bad old self's goals then it is unfair for the Choi family. Death for an unremorseful murderer is a well-deserve justice. But definitely not the ideal. Death is anyways just the same as having an amnesia but without having another person go through the dilemma of causing other people injustice.

A good counterpoint would be if the post-amnesia person isn't really necessarily fulfilling the goals of the pre-amnesia person. Then remorse in that case isn't really necessary.

There's actually a lot of mention of Guo Xiang in the drama. She probably became the strongest martial artist after the prequel drama given that the Heaven sword was handed down to her and legend says that the Heaven sword defeats the Dragon sabre. It also seems she founded the Emei sect. Too bad, her disciples are rotten. I wonder if she has a standalone drama entitled "Legend of the Jaguar's milk". lol

This drama has become painfully boring. Although this is typical in middle episodes, interesting things usually happen near the finale. Unlike KBS dramas, MBC dramas usually have no mercy to villains. Horrible things happen to them. Illness, suicide, car accident, falling off from buildings, you name it. Although I certainly don't want anything like this to happen to anyone even for bad people, but it's much better than just putting them in jail while having no regrets whatsoever about their wrongdoings. What I'd like to see is for them to regret and make sacrifices to atone for their sins. Perhaps live in the mountains as a monk, like that evil mother-in-law in You are My destiny.

That sounds like an interesting plot. She is obviously going to choose to be the Chairman's daughter as that will guarantee her a share in the company and a chance to remarry to a wealthier husband. Plus she gets to torture Hwaran by exposing all her secrets and then jail her for good given that she has all the evidence to convict her. She might have feelings for Minhyuk but we all know her greed is no joke.

I definitely don't want that to happen. She does not deserve such kind of luck. Such plot should be reserved to protagonists who have pure intentions and altruistic, especially the foolish martyr types.

What I think would be interesting is when she discovers she is the Chairman's daughter and then on her way to claiming her birthright, she'd be imagining several things like torturing Hwaran, torturing the Choi family, and then laugh her ass off while on a shopping free for expensive shoes, bags, and jewelry. And then moments later, gets killed by some car accident.

While this drama is nearing its end, I have not forgotten how the chairwoman humiliated Chung Ah in the beginning and now she did all this. May the god of dramaland bestow her balls in her groins so someone can kick them hard.

There's something I'm curious about. I wish someone answer me. Do the two actors who played godfather Xie Xun and the divine doctor also play Ouyang Feng and Zhou Botong in the most recent return of the condor heroes. I only watched the 2006 version. Because I notice these are the same actors who played Ouyang Feng and Zhou Botong in the most recent legend of the condor heroes. The characters are also very similar. One is crazy and bloodthirsty while the other is playful and mischievous.

Can I ask for some advice? Is this drama a standalone or do I need to watch the ones before for context? If that's…
As someone who's watched the two prequels and is currently watching this drama, I was a bit hesitant because I loved the two previous ones and this drama doesn't seem to have any connection. So far I feel like this drama might be my favorite of the three. Reason is the protagonist is intelligent. The protagonists in the previous ones were really lacking in intelligence which really got in the way of them doing good deeds and even done many mistakes.

It even feels like I'm getting new toys because everything is new. People from before are already long gone. The old prominent sects are no more or probably have very little traces but are not taking important role in the current drama. The only connection from what I know is that the two swords in this drama were forged from the previous protagonist's sword. Because it was a huge sword, they probably cut it in half. What I find funny is that there is really nothing special about the sword. What is special was the person who was wielding it and that huge gimangous bird he was practicing with. People made fuss over nothing. It's hilarious. I care so less about these swords, unless they did something with them but I doubt so. It was most likely handed down to the strongest person in their time and hence the reputation of the sword.

TLDR You can enjoy watching this drama with absolutely no knowledge about the previous ones. There's definitely some side-effects when you watched the previous ones, like for example looking for things in the previous dramas but you'll find none.

I feel like people becoming homeless is like a recurring theme in KBS family dramas. I remember in Wang's family there was one character who left and lived in the subway. There are some few dramas I can't remember which is the same.

Title Bad Love Spoiler
Hwaran knows about Yeonsu living together with the Choi family and gives no wild reaction. My prediction about them being mother-daughter is 99% wrong. But it's also possible that she gave her child away to someone and that someone gave that child to Sowon's mother.

My guts tells me there's something about Yeonsu's origin. It would be pretty weird that this drama has amnesia and then have no birth secrets on Yeonsu. Experience tells me that lead characters that are orphans are likely to have birth secrets. I mean just look at the currently airing drama, Unasked Family. The second lead male's mother happens to be the second female lead's housemaid.

Unless they add a new character to the drama, I can definitely bet that Yeonsu is Hwaran's long lost daughter. Both of them not only betrayed Sowon's mother but also killed her daughter. I am definitely right about this. I would also bet, the writer wrote this drama around that plot and decided to title it "Bad Love" because of the sibling marriage.

I am also afraid about Hojin in his situation. He knows way too much. In Blessing of the Sea, the second lead's mother died after knowing every secret. His survival depends on him immediately sharing these secrets to his sister like what he probably did in the next episode. Because that is the only time when bad people will have no reason to kill him. But when he knows things too early, i feel like this is really dangerous. He's dealing with murderers.

Besides the two lead main couples No other secondary couples in this family drama?
There's none. There are the two second leads but they are the bad people. There's also the aunt manager who has a crush on Ho Jin who gets flustered by her aggressiveness. But they are the relatives of the main couple.

serious question: how do you not know your only sister's/brother's sister/brother-in-law??? both families barely…
It is this time when someone needs to check past episodes just to confirm if the writer is not insane. Was there not a computer on Hae Jin's desk at the bank? I mean it's not entirely implausible for a teller to work without a computer. Maybe she uses a typewriter.

Okay I checked. In episode 2, Hae Jin uses a computer. It's confirmed. Writer is insane, crazy, delusional.... GENIUS! SBS AWARDS BEST WRITER OF THE YEAR!

Probably the most enjoyable drama to watch that is currently airing. You can tell that the people behind the scenes enjoy working on this drama. Cast and crew probably also enjoy working together. It gives me that kind of vibe.

Holy sh** that preview. I don't trust it. I've seen dramas that blatantly lie in their previews. It must be someone's imagination. If it's true then that's some huge plot twist right there.

Also I did not know Jin Bong's actress is the lead vocalist of Melody Day. She actually sings good but their group is totally nugu.

So, Yeon Su's biological mother personally gave her to So Won's mother. And So Won's mother know that she's marrying Hwa ran's son. I guess my predictions about them being mother and daughter is wrong lol... Or maybe. I mean Ho Jin just brought in a little nice plot twist about his amnesia. Maybe he takes after his mother and his mother is also pretending not to be shocked about siblings getting married. That talk about the ring is also kind of foreboding. Like her mother is an important person in the drama. We'll see how Hwa ran reacts when she sees the ring. Maybe that was Sowon's mother's intention. I guess we'll just have to wait. Ho jin's plot twist though...
