I just realized it's similar to A Place in the Sun where the half-siblings fell in love with the main leads. It's possible that the main leads will not be together until the final episodes because they're both married to the half-siblings and the half-siblings turned evil near the middle. Or not, probably they just copied the premise just to have a quick starting framework for the drama. Come to think about it, Gracious Revenge also started with a doctor's evil deeds. So most likely they just meshed together random plots from previous dramas.

The trailer really looks good. But based on what I read I decided not to watch this. My question is, can someone suggest me a wuxia drama that has a very similar content to this drama's trailer but one which is not disappointing?

Why does Takahata Mitsuki have so many dramas. I can't even keep up. I still have another drama from her which I haven't watched. At this point I might just as well also watch Toto-neechan. Also most of her recent dramas are about eccentric female characters which happens to be my favorite type of dramas so I couldn't really avoid them. I honestly like her sexy character in Love that makes you cry more.

Well, after watching episode 14 where Han Gwang-hoon [Ji Hoon's father] and Yeon Doo-shim [Tae-in's mother] were…
I'm surprised because someone in the comments already caught this in a more previous episode. Tae-in is also much older. So it's either that they're not brothers or that they're full brothers. They're probably not because that would mean Tae-in is marrying his half-sister and from my experience I can't remember a drama where incest was not avoided. It's like every dramaland in the world is allergic to incest.

The storyline now is getting so contrived that it’s becoming a big mess. I believe the writers want to turn…
I feel so bad that I liked these plots you listed. I get so thrilled with the ridiculousness that sometimes I just wish writers went crazy and go all out with the makjang. One time, there's this one drama where two characters fell from the rooftop and they came out alive with minor scratches. It's so ridiculous it blew my mind.

The writer's goal in this drama is to screw the audience. I'd fly to korea and bury this writer alive if it turns out the annoying characters get all the happy ending. This writer already had a giggle with the sister in law's luck. Now he's about to surprise us with a sh*tty ending.

It's a perfect ending. Most people would call it cliche but writers usually add annoying things in the ending just to make things less cliche so I'm glad it's a cliche ending. The problem is I don't remember any memorable moments in the drama. There was no build up in many crucial scenes. It's like they just directly connect A and B without some tensions in between.

That moment when you run out of script ideas and you suddenly feel the chills as you stare at a drawer labeled "dramas too crazy to air". This happens very often in Jdrama land because number of episodes are very few so they usually run out of ideas. But I see that crazy ideas are already seeping into the Kdrama land as well. Nice! Soon we'll be watching a drama where the main character pulls out a talking fetus from a man's brain which made himself slip back into time and travel back to the future only to have a talking fetus get pulled out from his brain - by himself. Yes! I'm so thrilled!

I'm dropping this drama at episode 53 and I blame myself for taking this drama seriously. I'm already skipping Yan Guang's scenes but now I'm finding myself skipping scenes for the Wagang forces when they're having a military talk because I just find most of it nonsensical And then I begun skipping everything until an action scene comes up. Then I remember, most of the action scenes so far aren't very impressive. The fighting choreography is not good. And the thing that I hate the most is that when things get exciting, Qing Qiong has to run away from the fighting either because his horse got hurt or the enemy is too strong. I'm always like "Wait! come back and go beat those dudes.

I know Minhyuk started as a good person but he's now completely lost it. So far the things he's done could be defended through good reasons. In the real world, many people don't view cheating negatively but rather view it as fair play and is something that one needs to learn to do to move forward/survive in a very competitive world. But trying to get innocent people jailed is crossing the line and is definitely sociopathic.

It's probably because the truth about Eunhye's accident needs to be revealed soon and Minhyuk going down this path is a necessary preparation. It's like he's letting go of he's last straw for getting forgiven of his sins.

And for some strange twist, Hwaran actually becomes the least villanous of this quartet.

I'm frustrated because it's a KBS drama and I can't remember any past KBS dramas where the villain gets thoroughly punished. That CEO is a total psycopath through and through. I wonder what kind of excuse they will give so we could forgive him.

This drama is a good example of why you shouldn't donate your heart. All that mess for spare hearts.

I think they're starting to soon reveal everything about Eunhye's accident probably around episode 100. First the secret about Haeun and then this accident. Someone might die at this point. Hopefully revenge starts after then. These monsters feel no shame. They have the audacity to look straight at the victim's family's eyes and yell at them for being the victim's family.

Cha Eun Dong single-handedly rendering the entire Choi family homeless/behind bars is what I would call revenge. But I wouldn't be optimistic given the pattern in the past KBS dramas. I bet this family have some kind of sorry past which ought to make us feel pity for them. This drama is starting so good though.

I changed my rating to 7 from 7.5 because I wish the chairwoman to experience an extremely embarassing moment and yet there's nothing. How do you expect me to forget the time when Cheongah got poured over with a whole jug of mineral water. I mean, I know revenge is too cliche but if you're going to be merciful to this bad people just because they belong to the same species as we do, then don't put these kind of gratuitous scenes.

Explosive first week (as expected). We expect more suffering of the lead characters, bring them on writers! Just…
Well, that's not a good sign. The previous drama before Gracious Revenge, A Place in the Sun, wasn't satisfactory for me as well. Choi Tae Jun got locked up but never repented while his goals are well in tact. And yet he's wasted so many lives. He's the winner in the end.

I feel like it's a KBS thing. They're trying to brainwash us about forgiveness. I bet this Choi Jun Hyuk will get lucky and get probation in the end. I mean, If I get a makjang start, I should get a makjang ending as well. Why are they trying to reflect the real Korean Justice System where everyone does horrible sh*t and then they get a probation.

It reminds me of Game of Thrones. That Bolton guy did so many horrible things. And yet the time he dies, he gets a quick death off screen.

In hindsight, the sister-in-law marrying the brother was a good thing for Haejin. No amount of Yuri's pleading can get her parents get back together. I guess Yuri has the biggest lose in this drama. His uncle marrying his aunt and then his parents not getting back together.

Looks like Sowon had mixed martials as her part time gig in high school. That perfect takedown and then she just kept pounding at her face. Yeonsu wasn't going to just sit by. Apparently, she had professional training at France. She perfectly defended her precious delicate face by crossing her forearms and then saw opportunity to escape from the ground. Finally Sowon pressed her to the cage. She's got undergound fighting experience or something. During that first night they had with their husband, their husbands were shocked seeing how their wives have their rib cages missing so many ribs. When they kissed, they don't know why they couldn't feel their wives teeth. They kept licking inside their mouth, there were no teeth. They couldn't understand until they saw the dentures placed inside a glass at the side of their bed. Even more shocked when they held their arms. They were rock hard! They tought "I better not mess with her" as they turn their body to the opposite side with a flustered and panicked face.

Also, why is Hwaran humanized in these past episodes? She's the absolute monster in that house.

Yeah, i was surprised why wuji was so loyal to the ming cult when he could have just left and enjoyed life together…
I guess this version detracted from the original novel. I bet this was influenced by 1 China polishit. They did end up together in this version but there was no indication that he left the cult. Wikipedia tells me he did and apparently one of those punks became the next emperor. So much for "Nobody sits on the throne" talk.
