why is yijia even crying!!!!she did this by herself.. acting as a victim nowzizheng deserve better
I haven't liked her much from the start. Her whole 'im so cute' just feels like an act. The other girl seems much more genuine in comparison, hoping Zizheng will give her a chance (and judging by the previews, he will).
The situation is quite funny, though. 'I'm afraid I'd get voted out (which is not really possible if Zizheng gives her 3 votes), so I MUST flirt with this guy for the possibility of him voting for me' -> proceeds to lose Zizheng's votes, the new guy isn't that interested either -> profit ???
If she just said she wanted to get to know/was interested in the new guy (like Yang did), instead of trying (and failing) to game play, it'd be much more respectable
To be clear, I am not suggested this for the list, but I think it's a really nice, refreshing, different romance…
Yeah that was the most non-breakup breakup i've ever seen in a drama lmao 'im breaking up with you now so that we won't have to break up later, ok?' They basically treated it as more of a break/separation than anything
A bit of a shame that they basically only get a single episode together (ep11), which also ends on FL trying and failing to noble idiocy breakup. And ep12 is drama/conclusion.
Also I think this drama might've set the record for the amount of 'break up' word used. I've lost count :p
Thanks! Yeah, I get it, but I have nothing else to watch now so it'll have to do :D
Besides, something like this is still better for me than the leads having a long relationship, then breaking up 2-3 episodes before finale and getting back in the last episode (or not altogether). Make me unable to 'believe' the relationship, so to speak, since I know they'll be breaking up at some point anyway.
Not sure if it belongs on this list or not. I'll have to watch it first, but from what I've read, I think it can be included (since it was 'in the past', even though the past is very much prevalent for a lot of episodes) but there needs to be a detailed disclaimer so that people are aware of what they're signing up for.
I haven't watched s1, but I like this one a lot so far. Got one couple im really rooting for and in the latest…
they are so cute 😭When she stares at him, she looks soo in love lmao I was rooting for Haosen/Qingyi at first, but their chemistry isn't chemistrying ;(
I haven't watched s1, but I like this one a lot so far. Got one couple im really rooting for and in the latest episodes there's kind of hilarious drama lmao
Can't believe LeChen is getting a happy ending for how he treated DuoDuo. No one would like him as a boyfriend…
Seems like we have completely different views on this haha. None of those things I would consider to be 'wrong' of DD.
1) This is a 50/50, and I think was quite a reasonable assumption for her to make considering what she saw. It's not real life after all, but a dating show with a very limited time span, so you can't exactly wait for a long time to completely understand a person. Obviously she was wrong, but I've always been of the opinion that it's your job to make your feelings/thoughts known, not make others 'guess' them.
2) At this point she should've moved on (the stable comment made it quite obvious), but she probably was quite emotional so I get it.
DD was a bit emotionally immature/a bit impatient about the whole thing, but I really don't have the heart to say she was in any way to blame for this. Could she have done differently/better? Sure. But the way LC handled it was bad imo. And frankly, it's just one moment in particular that irks me a lot - when he refused to go down and explain things, that was just so childish/cowardly to me, I couldn't help but be a little disappointed in him. The rest, I believe he didn't do anything wrong, they are just very incompatible people, with different paces/ways of expressing themselves. They've talked it out later anyway.
Honestly, all of this isn't even that big of a deal and definitely doesn't deserve any hate for the either side, that's just people going crazy over nothing again. The way all of it has been blown out of proportion reminds me of the situation in chinese My Sibling's Romance where a guy was talking to a girl, then someone he really liked came along and he completely iced the first girl out in order not to lead her on/not create a misunderstanding - judging by the comments, you would think he's some kind of gaslighting serial cheater lmao.

I mean... what exactly could DD have done differently lol? She was straightforward, open and honest, you really can't ask for anything else. LC just couldn't muster up the courage to talk to her properly once he figured things out (him not going down to 'walk the dog' after the dinner with the moms and sending out a friend instead was a really cowardly move).
He actually reminds me a lot about one of my best friends. He's the same way - very afraid of relationship confrontation, of tears and of hurting somebody. But in situations like this avoiding the problem only makes it that much worse. If he just explained to DD that he liked Yuan/she suited him better, all of this could've been avoided.
Naturally, this doesn't make him (or LC) a 'terrible person', but saying that they both could've handled things differently seems unfair to DD. The only thing she could've been better at is picking up hints from LC (the 'stable' comment and stuff like that) and moved on, but I completely understand wanting clarity too. That's the bare minimum tbh.
And this is from someone who's in no way a DD stan or whatever. The only reason I even started watching this season was because I saw some cute posts about LeYuan, so if anything I was biased towards them from the beginning. And I do enjoy their scenes a lot (and will continue watching basically just for them), but in this particular situation LC did act like an immature highschool boy instead of a 27-year old man.
In Season 7 it was like 2 episode on every Monday and 1 episode on every tuesday But if you haven't watch any…
I've watched every HS there is. Just never as it was airing before, I was fortunate enough to discover dating shows when all 7 previous seasons were already completed :p
That’s why I prefer Japanese shows. They produce more couples who stay together afterwards 🤷🏻♀️
Chinese shows have a lot of couples still together. There's a comment in the heart signal 6 mdl page with basically all of them mentioned, it's a quite a list. Maybe you haven't watched some of those yet.
For korean ones, I Am Solo has produced quite a bit of couples that are still together or even married. There's a reddit thread if you want to know which ones.
Love after Divorce 6 has all of the end couples still together, and LaD 2 has its iconic couple. Oh, and the recent Heart Pairing show ended up with 2 couples together irl
I actually enjoyed it much more than I thought (judging by the rating). The couples here actually felt real and not forced/scripted, both with their skinship/conversation/petty fights and so on. It was refreshing to see them always holding hands/hugging, since physical contact is often very lacking in asian dating shows.
A bit of an unconventional suggestion, but:Be My Dream Familyit's a daily drama with a bunch of couples and most…
Multiple couples. I'll list those with the most screen time:
1) A middle-aged married couple, married from the start. They had a few fights/arguments, but it never escalated past the wife leaving home for a few days. Basically devoted to each other for 120 episodes. 2) A young college couple - start the series in a fight/'broken up', but quickly make up. The girl is pregnant from the start. They are the cutest couple here. 3) The elderly couple, married from the start. They had one big fight where the woman was considering divorce, but it didn't happen, they resolved it and had no more conflicts. 4) Another middle aged couple. They start married, but for about 90 episodes they basically hate each other. The husband is very mean at first. They have one major fight where the wife was insisting on divorce and left home, but they eventually resolved it and became a loving (albeit still a bit bickering) couple afterwards. 5) The 'in-laws' couple. Start the series as friends (the man was the woman's art teacher in the past), work together, grow together, support each other and eventually fall in love. Had absolutely no major conflicts once together, though both the man/woman dated someone else in the episodes beforehand. My favorite couple of the bunch. 6) The cupid couple - they are in a 'contractual' relationship at first, to help the woman get over her unrequited love and for the man to spend his time with someone before he leaves the country. There is a break-up for this, but it's not really a break-up since they weren't really dating. Once they do start dating, they only have LDR that starts at the end of the second-to-last episode and ends in the last one. They are not broken-up during LDR. 7) The parents couple. No break up, but they get together only in the last episodes.

Overall, I enjoyed this drama immensely. It's very low angst and slice-of-life, with no real villains (except one with minimal screentime), awesome acting and very decent plot. It has plenty of funny and heartwarming moments as well.
If you've enjoyed something like Five Enough or are interested in longer dramas in general, definitely check this out.

Can't believe how many dating shows I've watched lmao.
btw, chinese couples usually have a weibo/doyin. I check up on some from time to time lolol

Have you managed to find them?
