Honestly, as much as I'm a fan of Park Jihoon, I have to admit he doesn't look great in historical dramas, especially…
It's silly to form an opinion on an actor's suitability before the drama has even aired its first episode. Casting is not about physical likeness with a sketch, but about who best can embody a character. Also, newsflash: young boyish crown princes sometimes end up becoming king.
She got the scene with her mom, the scene with her grandfather and it was pretty much spelled out that things…
He may still have taught him guitar, with Eungyeol telling him before going back to offer the kid milk instead of hot cocoa. If the time slip showed us anything, it is how things have a way of happening even if the circumstances have changed (like Yi-chan's accident). But it could also have been Watermelon Sugar. 😁
Ending felt like rushed and they completely ignored FL in the ending. Like they could have shown us how her life…
She got the scene with her mom, the scene with her grandfather and it was pretty much spelled out that things would change for the better for her, which is why she and her mom don't live in the same house as before. But this drama was always about Eungyeol and his family, so that's what they focused on, just as in the first episode. It didn't feel rushed to me, but like a deliberate choice. And I don't think everything needs to be tied up in a nice little bow for viewers.
Just started this and it's approximately ten times funnier than I expected. Lee Do-hyun is perfect, as always. After just finishing Twinkling Watermelon, I have to say Ryeoun looks like a baby here! 🥺
YiChan Chungah love story >>>>>>>> I wish they showed Yi Chan and Chung ah more, it felt like their chemistry…
Reducing this emotionally rich drama to a relationship does it a disservice, I think. I loved seeing Yi-chan and Cheong-ah fall in love too, but this drama was about so much more than just that. (Also it was hardly suprising that the show revolved more around the actual female lead).
what are you insinuating? its objectively a good drama jesus christ you people are insufferable. crying over mdl…
Seems like an odd insinuation considering the 18-55 demographic has also given it between 9.0 and 9.2, so there doesn't seem to be much of a difference based on age.
Nothing against Nam Joo Hyuk but he just doesnt have that 'Psycho' demeanor within him... Im Siwan imo would've…
The director said Nam Joo-hyuk was cast exactly because of his demeanor and the look he has (‘a sadness in his gaze’ but also conveying the 'rage inside him' from his childhood trauma). If they had wanted more of an unhinged psycho with a wilder look, maybe they’d have gotten Im Siwan. But that clearly isn't the vision for this character in this adaptation.
tbh i dont think this show is that innovative and neither is the topic.. the way things gets blown up and how…
"Most of us" - speak for yourself. I love the drama so far, and it's done really well in Korea, topping the Disney+ chart and the overall OTT rankings. People are responding very positively.
