The plot regarding PHS's character arc is all over the place. I am not happy with the jakkanim, after watching…
It seemed so unnecessary as well? Like it would've been enough for him to lose a patient due to complications during a surgery (these things do happen), and enter a slump due to that, doubting his abilities and his way forward. This whole being framed for murder by blood thinners thing is stretching credulity.
I hate first episodes that spend the entire runtime getting to what the drama will actually be like, rushing us through a bunch of stuff, not remembering to make us care first. A lot of the information in episode 1 could've been filled in later through flashbacks. Instead it felt jumbled and all over the place. But I think I will like this once they actually spend more time together in episode 2 (I'm starting it now).
Also, as others have said, the comedy (so far) mostly fell flat for me. It's a bit too silly, too soon, and that didn't really gel in the first episode with all the serious stuff that was happening in between.
It's becoming increasingly evident that productions are becoming stingy when it comes to casting younger versions…
I don't think it's really a cost/resources issue, but rather that when they have cast very popular main actors, they want to use them as much as possible, rather than casting lesser known actors to play their younger counterparts. I loved how they cast younger versions of Wi Ha-joon and Lim Se-mi in The Worst of Evil, but I get why romcom productions generally don't do that.
Did you just read the headline and not the body of the article? It literally says "postpone" in the second last…
I did not read that far, no. It had already said three times above the picture that it was "canceled", which means something different than "postponed". But that clarifies the matter, thank you. It would be tragic if they just pulled the drama with 1 ep left.
This is going to be the drama of the year, I can feel it! But we need a confirmation of the global OTT! Netflix would be stupid to let this slip through its fingers and have it end up somewhere else.
For Happiness and Our Blooming Youth after he came back from the military it was "all the weight he has gained" and people being rude about it. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Vigilante, too. A lot of these shows have similar concepts. Looks like it'll be a different feel though with a bit more off-kilter comedy sprinkled in.
