Yes! I agree! When his friend is giving the pledge (which I'm pretty sure in the beginning Ji Yong was the head student who would lead the class, so him not doing it now shows how much his feelings have change) but the fact that all the students are raising their right hand to pledge but only Ji Yong is not and his solemn focused eyes is chilling. Also, they show shots of the professor watching Ji Yong during this scene and I'm almost positive they are showing that the professor knows Ji Yong is the real vigilante. The professor is a profiler and I'm sure he knows now, however, I think he chooses to remain silent bc now he also is upset at the way police handle the situation that he remains silent with his knowledge. I'm sure if there is a season 2, he will be apart of storyline maybe even helping and joining the "vigilante" team.

In regards to my post I just wanted to clarify somethings. Yes, I do know that Korea has stricter drug laws and not only was LSK being investigated for just marijuana use, he was also being investigated for ketamine. However, after he was tested the reports came back negative for both. In many reports I have read the police handling the case mistreated him in many ways 1. being they kept him confined for up to 19 hours. Also, in some reports it was reported that the police leaked his info to the press in order to get something turned up in their favor. The police were facing pressure to close the case bc it was such a big scandal and it was creating a lot of noise. Another thing to note is the woman who was blackmailing LSK was promised leniency depending on her testimony. I do understand that cancel culture does exist in western media for all those reasons you mentioned whether it be saying the N word, bullying, etc. However, from what I've seen you have more of a chance of still surviving in western industry after being "cancelled" sometimes the problematic person's problems are brush under the carpet or they even somehow hold on and remain in the spotlight. I found that in Eastern culture especially Korea after being "cancelled" it's more challenging recovering and the mental health stigma that is over there doesn't even let the person bounce back healthy because as soon as they experience these traumas there isn't even resources to help them work through what they experienced. Not to mentioned it's never forgotten, so most of the time the only logical or simple choice these people think they have is suicide. Also, I'm pretty sure the families become just as big target's as the person themself. In eastern culture, groups of people are very cliquey, so the moment somethings happens they cut off the odd duck and then turn against the person or the people associated with that person.

I believe the biggest people to blame are the woman who blackmailed him, the police who were trying to quickly wrap up the investigation, and the korean public who so quickly turn into bullies when accusations appear. In Korea, it is innocent until proven guilty, but in my opinion that doesn't even matter to anyone because so quickly the fans, public, or even companies endorsing the person turn against them and harass, bully, or fire them without a trial first. If you look at the US, Jonathan Majors who was becoming the next big villain in Marvel as Kang had accusations against him and they didn't fire him until after he had his trial and conviction. Also, so many times in Korea we will see actual guilty celebrities get a slap on the wrist or make a comeback, where as the innocent ones are always hurt the most. If I was a celebrity in Korea, I would scared going to work everyday. I feel so bad for Lee Sun Kyun and his family and friends.

this is the 2nd show produced by this company I guess. I love it a lot and it's enjoyable just like You Are Mine. I really liked You Are Mine, however, with the short episodes length and short number of episodes I'm seeing the same problem that happened in You Are Mine. They are dragging the story on and keep adding obstacles and then in the last episode the mains will suddenly get together and the ending will be rushed. I hate that this is happening again because if the story of You Are Mine I fell IN LOVE with the main leads chemistry and it was honestly the only thing that saved the drama, but due to the terrible story pacing, writing, production the ending was not what it should have been with the acting and chemistry of the actors. Again, I'm seeing this happen in VIP. The actors have AMAZING chemistry and are doing such a good job, however, it's episode 6/10 and in this beginning Liu Li gets sick but Gu Jing confirms when he's better he will tell him what they are while it's pretty obvious from their gazes and him holding his face they have real feelings. Of course, Liu Li get's better; only for an ex to show up and now we've almost wasted an episode. It was especially annoying because in the preview for ep 6 I'm pretty sure I saw them kissing and was definitely expecting this to be THE episode. However, now that they've suddenly done this I'm having the feeling they are going to follow the same pacing of You Are Mine and legit wait till ep 10 to have them get together and rush the ending and destroy it. It really bother's me because I feel this actors in both shows are being done such a disservice the way they are producing this kinds of shows where the actors are legit carrying these shows ON THEIR BACKS!!
so i really liked the idea of the show, however, i feel that the show was very chaotic and disorganized. The only thing that saved the show was the amazing chemistry between parker and hsiao. they were so good together and carried this shit show of a drama on their backs while they had chains around their ankles. I really hope they can be together in another show again that has better producers/writers/directors. I really think that this could have a crazy good show if it had been better exucated.
