They definitely could've done more.

Yeah that'd why I said it's subjective and what you wanna look for.
On a sidenote every version had depth/character development especially for the ML. I would even go further and say Meteor Garden did Kavin's storyline better, he was given more depth, barley exists here (and we have yet to see it). This whole 2022 the director is well aware not everyone will cheer for this kinda of story take is nonesense in my eyes Meteor Graden was only 4 years ago, Gen - Z saw/enjoyed it too, actually I know more Gen-Z who know that version than F4 (albeit it's popular too) plus then this wouldn't have been made in the first place and it's interesting after the whole punching the wall etc- scenes, they increased "the toxicity" and made it wilder than some of their previous contestents.

The at least had scenes despite their tragic ending. It's a pity here but they up-ed Ren's game on the other hand. Can't blieve I just saw a TT where 50k said he's the better choice xd

I wonder why everyone is obsessed with calling it "the best version" let's be real that's subjetive. If you want to see the bullying be addressed, the whole drama revolve around that, lessons and a more serious reimagned take this will be it. If you just want to escape see the F4 as friends, the richness, drama, focus on all of them, the 2nd Couple (in BOF, Meteor Garden) and a light shoujo take Hana BOC, "Hana Yori Dango", Meteor Garden etc- is. Tbvh I think they're incomparable as this is far too different from the rest.

Edit: For heaven's sake the 2nd (not) couple was still done better in Hana Yori Dango lol

this will always be the best version in my eyes, the development was organic, it wasn't rushed, the chemistry btw everyone was amazing, the ost great and the 2nd couple actually had scenes together unlike the thai version

this actually became funa and there's drama, i tuned in again. my only beef now is the lack of 2nd couple like the previous versions where are the scenes there are only 6 eps left. they should've taken notes from the previous version

I think some of you need to calm down instead of attacking and respect other ppl opinions just bc they don't like it or point out some criticism (this version isn't perfect either let'd be realistic and it's good it isn't) it doesn't make them a hater. Not everyone will like this version just as not everyone loves Pizza, taste varies.

And less, that doesn't make it bad. I think you all need to calm down and let ppl voice their thoughts.

I've never seen the guy before and I don't think valid criticism makes ppl haters or antis. Personally I've no ill feelings towards him and think he could improve his acting + facial expressions, it's ruining some scenes for me. He's stupposed to me mad and stoic but instead looks happy (where he'd not supposed to).

Yes this you sum it up very well. As I haven't watched it I can't speak of that but even if a score is low, if something makes you happy, enjoy it. Rankings and scores are such a useless waste of time.

Fully agree they don't seem like friends and I think that might be due to the fast pacing. There isn't much time for breathing and friendship moments. I definitely loved Meteor Garden for that plus Bright is really lacking in the expression Departement. I think Dao Min Shi (?) was better portrayed there.

Hm okay this doesn't sound too bad, might get back in the game. I haven't watched any in years after I realised they're only producing "trash" to fulfill some weird girls fantasy about 2 dude's doing it. And bc I started o pity the actresses since only BLs were produced xD

Haha ty but I was a first wave BL fan when no one knew Thai BLs (Lovesick the series) and watched the worst so I'm scared. Kinda outgrew them and just looking if they're still producing terrible ones for "girls" and only doing BLs for the quick cash (haha, glad it's changing!!) but I might consider it after hearing your thoughts.

Lol man only does BL drama ... well he shall continue (on a sidenote I kinda wish Thailand or GMM would have the same dedication they have for their BL for their non BL haha)
