Romance isn't smth bad ...

Hope this good and INSANE the last drama I liked was Secret 2013. It was a rollercoaster and I need drama like that back. Bring he Drama into K-drama again no more blandness

They hate each other and he thought she k worded his lover obviously it's not gonna be "healthy" if that's what you looked for you were in the wronf place. I miss when Kdrama where Kdrama and just tell a story/romance with insanity instead of "healthy" and perfect unrealistic romance with bland characters.

It was so insane, they aren't doing Kdrama like these anymore. I NEED THE INSANITY BACK to this day nothing has repleaced this drama for me, the rollercoaster, the emotions, the chemistry, the romance, I was glad I still had hair left and didn’t rip it all out. This is what a Kdrama should be like not bland with boring characters.

Man I really hope this will be good romcom with a slowburn couple and not boring woth bland characters. Have been watching more Cdrama than Kdrams since they changed the formular.

Comparing the Korean, Thai and Chinese with each other I'd say they all did smth better than the other (based on my opinion)

Korean: Sidecouple, Kavin
Chinese: Sidecouple, Friendship, Gorya, Main Couple, Music and overall development
Thai: Thyme's charadevelopment, bullying plot (albeit they wasted too much time on it), MJ getting a girl

It seems F4 Thai extended Ren's game unlike Meteor Garden 2018, I see so many how Ren deserves better takes on my fyp on Tiktok, I'm surprised

It seems you have misunderstood what I was saying, Gyora lost her skill, one that truely makes her stand out, Jandi was good at swimming, Shancai a skilled chef. It's not about her not having any competitions I just find it interesting.

"Gyora" used to win competitions in other versions, had skills but I guess her constantly hurting the ML or being rude is "girlboss"

nah and they'll never do, meteor garden 2018 was a huge hit and the manga to this day is still one of Japan's best selling shojo

I am well aware, I watched it but it was still a famous 2nd Couple scene and would've fit so well. Plus Meteor Garden had smth like that too just a little different she wore a different dress lol

They did in BOFtoo and I'm well aware, I read the manga years ago. The do the deed then part but that's why I prefer this version. I love the 2nd Couple and Ximen/Kavin role the most and they ain't doing it justice in the thai version sadly.

Yeah but we are 11 eps in an so far .. they barley have any scenes, development or anything. As someone pointed out they don't come off as their own characters either, I think that's why ppl are disappointed. If it does end platonically they shoved in those scenes for nothing and definitely should've just followed the manga xd

Yes they kept taking an issue with me saying that even HYD did them better. You got to know these characters, their motives and you didn't feel the lack of screentime.

No can't agree with you when the basic and the whole direction is already different. It's preference and if we speak objectively quality wise Meteor Garden (had the biggest budget) or even Hana Yori Dango as I've said don't lack more than F4 just because they tackled the bullying.

It's where you "apply" those measurements or what measurements you are looking and then then we are back to being subjetive.

They keep coming for me as if I said something terrible. It all depends on preference and what one is looking for. Oh that's a good point too and I've noticed the annoying product placement (albeit meteor harden had that 2) and messy editing. Kavin magically getting glasses out of nowhere.

Yeah it feels as if they barley have an focus, they don't come off as friends or are their own characters, just there as cheerleaders. Plus the lack of screentime something I loved about other versions is despite the heavy focus on the it didn't feel like F1 (not sure of I make sense and I apologise before I get eaten up again)

The editing is a mess but as i've said the best version can't be objective if things are completely different. It's the same with sneakers and high heels, sure both are the same but wearing them is different.

It will depend on what you're looking for if you want as you've said social commentary and that's a necessity oft you then you will value this higher, if not, it's not the best version for you. Meteor Garden in my opinion doesn’t have less quality than F4 (there are aspects I am not happy with either) just bc it didn’t do down the same or mature root. Well both are different in my eyes.
