I don't see, he fits bad boys boy or unique roles more. Shin was described as an Ulzzang/flower boy: insanely pretty, good looking and sparkling from the outside. Wouldn't describe him as masculine either. The og Shin had such poise, arrogance, and regality as a crown prince it will be hard to find a fitting actor.

Best version despite the middle (poor meizuo) being pointless, the ending being weird and as always Ximen and Xiao You were the best part.

Half the cast didn't age well but Gaeul and Yi Jung still own my heart. They are the best part if only they gotten more scenes and that phone call didn't happen. Yes 10 years later i'm still bitter. But overall I prefer the Meteor garden 2018 version.
