I try to give every drama I start a fair chance, sometimes a series needs a few episodes to settle in. I've seen 5 episodes of this overdramatic action/very boring monotone series and I feel the need to rant about this.
Okay, so far Kill It sucks in my opinion. It feels like the writers got away with doing the least amount of work because they have two popular actors in the series.
The plot never really focuses on anything which makes it feel like were stuck on square one, whenever the male lead figures out something new about his past it feels like he already knew all along? What's the fucking point then? You know that the female lead is the paper plane girl and she knows you so just talk to her? I honestly can't tell if it's just plot holes or if the story is THIS bad. They had a great concept, and packaged it great with some awesome aesthetics that made me exited to see this Action/Thriller but feels like they didn't work enough on the story and just went along with whatever they could come up with.
The action is ridiculous, right out of a Tom Cruise movie. "WOW the main is such a cool guy what a hero, he can take on anything." It just felt a bit icky and cringey, they made him too good in my opinion. And the female's dart skills just pushed me off the edge, like can't a female lead be badass without having this "amazing/crazy" talent? Being a good policeofficer would have made the series feel less cringey and B-ish.
Also a big thing that made me disappointed was the chemistry between the leads. If a series doesn't have a great plot, cinematography or lines it has one thing left to survive on; CHEMISTRY. Nope we didn't get that either, damn they could just not do anything right could they? No sparks, nothing. The characters feel so distant to eachother that I just could not see how this could turn into a "love" story. Btw; Who are these characters? I feel like we don't get to know them, I've spent 5 hours on this and I have no idea what their goals are, what they are doing and why. Maybe the writers wanted it to feel mysterious but this is just to a point where I feel lost and uninterested because I couldn't find any characters to connect with.
AND I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but both the leads feel so annoying to me? The female lead acts like she has known the others for years like the day after she moves into the apartment? And the male says like 5 words each episode and just looks stoic into the distance, am I supposed to swoon? No thank you. Bye Kill It, you didn't kill it. You wasted a great concept and I wish we could get a re do because I believed in this concept so much.
Sorry for this rant, maybe it's just me being in a bad mood but idk. My grammar also sucks, but could not care less. Although I may be feeling bitter about this series I would like to hear what your thoughts on the series is and how you like it this far! Bye.
As always, a great article that gives me some new views on cinematography! Thank you for putting in all this time and effort into these articles, I will look forward to your future projects! ♡
Watched the last episode of Romance is a Bonus Book, left me with a warm feeling in my heart. Very surprised at the drama, nothing special about it really, it's nothing new and the concept is something that we've seen a bunch of times before. The male main lead Eunho surprised me the most out of everything, probably one of the best dudes in k-drama history.
It's not a masterpiece by far but it is something that I would recommend anyone to see when they want to see something cute on a bad day! Lovely side characters, good ending and some funny moments 8/10 from me.
Not that bad to be honest. I was expecting something so cringeworthy that my eyes would never want to open again, but this was actually kind of good? and I'll keep watching.
I feel that Lee Yoo Ri, Shin Sung Woo and Hong Seok Cheon would do well in these types of roles, but I have a hard time seeing anyone taking on the role of Carrie and Miranda :/
I feel like she gives the series a more realistic feel, in real life you can't give people jobs because you like…
I felt that too for a while but changed my mind after realizing that she actually had wrote the same thing for the prompt, don't know if the other times she has acted bitchy can be explained by my logic so you're probably right!

Very true, I feel like she is going through a tough time and takes it out on Dani because she feels that she achieved something she could not do; a career and have a family. Hopefully she will stop pushing everyone away and start to realize that a workplace does not only have to be a workplace.
Ms Go is the worst. I really thought we would see some growth with her but it just keeps getting worse.
I feel like she gives the series a more realistic feel, in real life you can't give people jobs because you like them :/ (Although I'm hoping for Dani and feel like she deserves it, just playing devil's advocate)
Really enjoyed this so far! The supporting cast and second leads are just as great as the mains which is something that I look for in a drama, nothing feels like it needs to be skipped! Not to fast paced and still not boring, I recommend this to everyone that wants a warm and cute romance. (btw the people that is turned off by this drama bc of lee jong suk, he's not bad in this one)
As always, a great article with examples of filmography that I would never be able to catch! After every article it feels like I have a new secret of telling whats really going on in a scene, so thank you for putting in all this time and effort! Nothing goes unnoticed
As said by DreamingKoreanBallad, missing a real storyline! Wished to see some character development of Min but I feel like the director made this just as an excuse to test out cool effects to fight scenes.
I've watched a few episodes of this show. The ones that really cracks me up was when the team went to LA & hung…
I've seen that lot of streaming sites is having different numbers on their episodes, so for example episode 238 will be 249 :/ Really annoying I know, I'm just going after their wikipedia page for a confirmed episode number
