I like to thank the few people that convinced me to continue after ep 2. Though I still don't find most of her jokes funny, I'm not cringing any more and the drama itself is pretty funny to be honest. I'm now ep 24, and it got a bit draggy, but it's still good. I will finish this because overall I'm having a good time. It's really much better than the ratings lead on, and I don't think the last 10 eps will change my mind.
Girly pop really dug her own grave. I understand her motivation, but the irony is a bit funny to me. I'm so excited for all the character and relationship development, and the flashbacks that will surely reveal how long he has been in love with her, but why they never got close.
This girl has a man that understands and worries about her emotion without her even saying anything, and here I live in a world where men don't take your feelings seriously when spelled out to them.
Zhang Jiran really annoys me with his moral high ground. It's easy to judge when you're not involved, it's easy to emphasize with the criminals when you only see their punishment but never their crimes. He cannot bring his high court rules and regulations to a place where they never kept anyone safe in the first place.
I really do not like the ML. before any romance blooms between them, I hope he grovels and simps and begs for forgiveness. he's too mean to her, I really don't care that he's supposed to strengthen and teach her. especially because so far this has not been his motivation, he just stole her pearl and keeps her at arms length with a seemingly impossible goal.
your mother abandoned you and spoke very badly to you, and you go to the hospital to see how she feels? what?…
Feelings are complicated. While he resents his mother for abandoning him, there is still love left for the role she fills. I think his dad voiced it quite accurately: "If she was going to leave, then at least she should live a good life". Because only then you are allowed to resent her without any feelings of guilt. Now that there is pity involved, everything is off balance.
LJX’s redemption arc was sloppy. He should’ve just went to jail for his crimes. This is why I try to stay…
Lol, there was no redemption arc. He redeemed nothing by taking an arrow that was supposed for him anyway. I know my girl sleeps well at night knowing she is finally free from his obsession.
as someone who has seen the original and liked it very much, I can just say that this one here is just as nice. so far they've done good justice to the story.
