What even is Shitty Rong's ambition? He seems like someone who is fair, with noble motivations, but how did he just become a psycho's tool to be degraded and abused? He can't tell me that it's for his mother and sister because it does not seem like he likes them at all. So what did he do this all for?
You can really see the tension between A'li and Duke Su. You can see it in their expression, the subtle flirting. A grin that cannot be suppressed because they're such good tactical partners. Whenever they talk, there's only little space, never allowing anyone a chance to come between them. I wish I could write an essay about their romance. I'm such a sucker for slow burn when it's done like this. When they are smart and partners in crime/justice, when they understand each other. I love the story so much, not only the romance, though it keeps me giddy.
I think this was actually good and funny, with a good life lesson and a message we all (but especially SK) desperately needs. However, I think they should've shortened it. 12 eps would've been amazing. Yoon Park really took the spotlight for me.

The romance is a slow burn but very well paced, every scene between them has been paying off and worth the wait. There doesn't seem to be another love interest for CXH, though he appears to like our female lead but nothing serious so far. Halfway into the drama, however, he had very little screen time, so I'm not sure why he's listed as a main role or if he'll gain more importance now. Starting this after your exams is very smart because the drama is addicting.
The discussion about the age gap is so funny when you haven't forgotten about Lin Yu Shen who was more than double her age when they filmed for Dating in the Kitchen and Lusi still delivered an amazing chemistry and performance.
Ups, yes I meant 17, I watched both eps back to back and got it confused. Anyway: THE RAIN SCENE!? Not sure if I've ever seen something of this calibre in a historical Chinese drama.
I finally opened my eyes to his charm in Frankly Speaking. In EAW I was too distracted by his role's semi-shitty personality that I had no time to just look at him. But FS focused more on his attractiveness, and I am onboard now.
When you really think about, this had little to no plot. this had an amazing premise, but they sadly struggled with the execution. I wish we had more of his frankly speaking, I wish there hadn't been a way to turn it off but rather that he had to learn to speak his thoughts out honestly without him just blurting it all out. I also would've thought that him speaking frankly would cause more damage, but besides loosing his chance as a news anchor, there were no consequences other than some blunders. I did like the whole family dynamics toward the end, I think you can feel that the writer put a lot of thoughts towards the different kind of relationships and how lies and honesty are both weapons to uphold peace. Therefore, I just wished they'd showed us more of it at the beginning and not save it for the end. I can barely remember what happened in the middle of this drama because there was no linear plot, only random daily life happenings. While the romance was kinda cute, I felt nothing for both leads. There was more chemistry between SKB and KJH. Despite the obvious romance I saw happening, this really did not feel like a romance drama. However, contrary to some other commenters, I did see the comedy and while not all of it was funny, I did laugh at least once an episode.
I'm not ready. I wish they'd give us a 3-hour-long finale at least, or like 5 special episodes, or like a second season with Sunjae's POV .... just something .... this drama has been my life essence for the last couple of weeks. The only motivation to start a new week.
I like the FL because I like seeing morally grey characters. It's so obvious that she doesn't do it because she wants to, and it's even more obvious that she'll have character development and will try her best to save the family. That's why I'm not concerned and annoyed at all. I've seen male leads that are much loved by the majority do much worse.
I love the story so much, not only the romance, though it keeps me giddy.
