ep7: I don't understand why the bad guys want to blame XBM. Before Zhu Yi Tie committed suicide, he kind of acted like XBM deserves to be blamed, and the masked guy who I expect to be the real Yesha also said that XBM should know the truth. I'm not sure if they are using XBM as a chess piece in their game or if it's some hidden identity plot and XBM doesn't know yet that he is likely the offspring of the murderer of that hidden/massacred town (my guess). Anyway, they kind of seem angry at him and he didn't do anything. Why would they want to jeopardize his life like this?
I just figured out why I actually like this so much and have actually no problem with that the leads have so little screen time together .... I LOVE YEARNING. PINING. LONGING. BURNING. ACHING. and this has some of the best yearning I've seen in a long time.
Many times in general watching dramas. We need to have a suspension of belief. We have flying Kung Fu here
Yes, okay, but that's part of the genre. I'm not questioning martial arts, more her surgery, or how Yan Chi seemed to have the time to carve several bowls, light a fire, cook medicine and made a pair of shoes while Qin Wan lay unconscious, and they were looking for the foreign prince. Or how it wasn't even addressed that the foreign princess wanted to kill her and killed two soldiers. Or how YC found her in the woods anyway, with the most obvious clues as if she was Gretel and the princess and her two dummies failed to find her. But yeah, I'll still agree with you that often times you'll just have to suspend belief.
Ep7, and so far the parents are always making the wrong parenting decisions. When your child expresses curiosity or a wish, maybe it's important to figure out the motivation behind them. "Mum, Dad, I don't want to finish school" - Why??? (my very first question, OMG) and what will happen if I force you to? "How did my sister really die? Why are there so many mysterious concerning her death?" - Why is it important for you to know (dumb question) and what are the consequences if I don't take my time and explain it to you?
you could turn back time and show CGH what happened and who was the actual betrayer and confirm that NH had nothing to do with it, and he'll still not believe a single thing and accuse NH of manipulating time and space
I swear CGH does everything BUT investigate. He just wants confirmation of what he believes to be the truth anyway, he doesn't even stop to think that he's being manipulated. As if all the confirming clues dropping into his lap one after another after that many years isn't suspicious. So far, the king, female lead, male lead and even the dumb prince, have told him to look further into the cases and investigate and still he doesn't.
Truly the first drama I witness where they address heavy drinking and drunkenness (that's always glorified or trivialized in dramas) as an issue. If alcoholism is ever addressed it is mostly shown in the form of an abusive husband, never though as your friend, family or colleague. I'm interested to see where they're going with this, though I think they won't go very deep into the topic because this is still a rom-com.
Yingtao is the true hero in this story.
I just wanna b*tch slap everybody except the leads
and this has some of the best yearning I've seen in a long time.
