The only time I saw the fake sibling plot work for me was in The Rise of Ning, but I guess because that drama was much more serious in tone and the leads were just so smart and kind of down to earth (also much better script, pacing and acting). The way the leads here got together felt very anticlimactic to me... I don't know. I feel like the fake sibling plot is only good and necessary in the context of forbidden romance, which only works with a lot of tension and angst. This drama though has zero angst and I think that's what's missing.
Suspicious Partner is one of my favourite dramas and I hold it so dearly to my heart. I was willing to give this a fair shot and not wanting to compare it too much, however it follows the very same script without any noticeable differences, while also compressing two 1h-episodes into one 20-min episodes which takes all the charm for me personally because it does not give room for any believable character setting and development. We'll see if I continue.

We don't know yet, it happened just this ep. So far it looked like he was r*ped. Akin and Jin both believe Akin cheated, though Akin is still in denial because he was so drunk, he didn't and could not consent to anything, and he totally blacked out. But there is a possibility that the scene omitted enough for it to be "only" very strong sexual harassment and no penetration.
If there's ever a Chinese remake of Friends I need these leads to play Ross and Rachel. Especially the male lead actor just gives me so hard Ross Geller vibes.
Honestly, I thought it was already too boring by ep 20, and I was ready to drop it. But then the comments intrigued me and I thought how bad could the ending actually be ... well, you all were right. I'm just glad that I skipped through the episodes to quench my curiosity and not actually commit to it.
Should I follow up with this or wait until all eps are aired? It's giving warm and fuzzy until the end when they have to break up (even though they still like each other and their problems are gone or manageable now) because the drama wants to be "realistic" though everyone wants them to be together.
I swear, fml and her mother are acting their asses off and ml is just like p_q .... he's doing nothing with his face. I'm not usually one to really comment on acting and criticizing it and I have a very big tolerance, but my brother here is literally only moving his mouth. The first few episodes I didn't really notice because his vibe was still very mysterious, but ever since he got more screen time it really became apparent. I know a lot of mls usually play the aloof and unfazed hero who is not very expressive, but they do at least a little. And it's becoming so hard to watch because fml is so good, she's so expressive even in small scenes when the focus is not on her.
