what still really bothers me is that Chung Ah's father ignored her for 9 years because she wanted to commit suicide, but right after learning her reasons and struggles suddenly he is nice again .... so all those 9 years he didn't bother for her reason. just because she didn't tell him, doesn't mean there was none. as if people commit suicide out of boredom!?! her father and Seul Ah never really apologized for their hurtful words and actions. honestly, how could you threat a depressed person like that? as if it wouldn't just add on the insecurities and anxiety. since South Korea's suicide rate is so high, I would expect them to issue it differently, but since I know that mental health is not really widely cared for (at least media wise), I shouldn't be surprised, but I rather not have them use suicide merely as a trope.
can we chose a picture for him that looks less abusive-boyfriend-like? that's the reason he gets typecasted. I think I saw him play an abusive ex/stalker about 3 times already.
I love Park Hae Jin, and though all his love interest were very pretty, I didn't find them to suit him visually, but I really think him and Jo Bo Ah make a cute couple. I know this sounds really superficial, still, the whole first ep I was just so happy that they looked so nice together. I can't help myself.
it's cute but it get's also really draggy towards middle to end because their relationship doesn't really progress anymore. it's cute fluff but half the eps would've been enough in my opinion
It's pretty frustrating waiting for subs. I know that subs are hard work and I do appreciate all of the translators, it's just that I've been spoiled with having every ep subbed in a few hours, maybe in a day.
It's just my guess, but what he wants is power. North Korea is very corrupted so he can do anything if he just…
Yeah, that as my guess originally, too, but the haven't really touched on his motivation much and I find it a litte confusing, because his emotions seem too conflicted and deep sometime for what he ones to achieve. I do hope there is more, because so far that's the only issue I have with this drama.
My guess is that they won't give him a deeper reason. I think he was originally motivated by his desire to cover…
There was this one scene where he spoke to one of the officials and told him that he was like a father to him, that he was the only one he considered family, and that made it seem like he had deep routed issues and I thought that would be his motivation for power and revenge, which would've made sense. however, they haven't touched on that topic since then and I agree with you, I love this drama but since all the other important characters are pretty well fleshed out, I would've expected the same for their villain.
y'all are talking about the age gap and I can only think about how much I hate love triangles. Usually my heart is clear on one guy, but judging from the trailer alone both guys seem to be absolute catches. sigh. my heart.
this drama romanticizes almost everything I am scared of in real, this romance turns out to be absolute trash, and I feel like a big hypocrite because I did enjoy watching this to some extent
Can someone explain to me what problem Jo Chul Kang has with the Ri Family? I understand that he killed Mu Hyuk, because he had all that evidence on him, but why does he also hate Jung Hyuk so much. Considering that Jo Chul Kang covered that that incident from the beginning, that made Jung Hyuk suspicious of him, I understand that he wanted to put him away. But Jo Chul Kang gives off hard resentment vibes, as if the whole Ri Family owed him a life or something, I don't understand why he is so mad all the time. With 6 eps still to go, maybe this is yet to be revealed, but I wonder if I possibly missed something. Maybe he is just mad all the time?
