Exactly! i love stories like this that move slower but slowly build up the relationship it makes the endgame so much sweeter and these two had such thick tension you could cut it with a knife. it was so deliciously good 😭

Exactly!! so well said!! the development was needed to get to where they are now in their relationship. if they didnt build a strong foundation first, their relationship wouldnt be where its at by the end 😭everything was worth it just by those last 4 episodes alone.

I was frothing over him in episode 12. In every scene he looked so damn good 😭 especially in that suit with the white shirt and the denim outfit. Wen Yifan was so strong not to jump him right there.

They’re so anxious to get there that they’re missing other important plot developments. like the very needed development of their relationship 😭 they can’t go straight to bumping eachother when their relationship isnt at that stage yet.

People coming here just to say this is slow and has no development are kinda crazy, I feel like we're not watching it the same way lol. Theres already development by episode 6 just between Sang Yan and Yifan and by episode 8 she started sleepwalking. NO DEVELOPMENT WHERE

Exactly, he told her he’d always be there for her no matter what back in HS. He kept his promise and showed up for her even when she didn’t know. He never did it out of obsession, did it out of malice or had ill intent. He did it just because he loved her and wanted her to know she always had somebody who loved her.

Yes they never dated, they only started dating when he went to see her in Beiyu in episode 18. They had High School crushes on eachother that never turned into anything because it was not seen as good to date in High School (that's why Sang Yans mom and dad told him to wait until college if he wants to chase her) so when she didn't go to college with him like they planned, it was a love and feelings that never got to flourish. It hurt like a break-up for both of them.
