SPOIL ME PLZZZ....When did the leads got together?Any breakups later?
He figured it out around I wanna say episode 9 but didn’t reveal that he knew until ep 17/18. In a way, he used her identity to his advantage, be basically saved her live but also kept her hostage to use her to negotiate with her father. Although I wanna say, he also did it because he wanted to makeup with her for accusing her of things she didn’t do and almost killed her. Episode 37…it’s actually super sweet, it’s the end of 37 that’s the problem, lots of crying in 38 and beginning of 39, and basically all fluff and love for ep40. It’s a happy ending, so sadness from 38/39 is worth it.

You’re about to be spoiled lol.
They liked each other since ep.6 starts showing it since 8, kinda flirt and “date til ep.14 then a major thing happened that kinda ruin the relationship. Then he confessed in 16, she denied it, they got together for real 17/18. Then there’s lots of little fights between them because of their ideals and being from different sides, but they always try to fix things and get back together every episode pretty much. Lots of fluff and cute moments around ep 37 then a tragedy til ep39 but ep40 is the best ending I think.
This drama was so dang cute! First time I didn’t fast forward when the leads are not there, because the story is interesting and doesn’t drag. JingTian and XuKai was not a pairing I expected but glad for! And seriously, TianTian is so pretty in this!
I find the scene at the lantern festival heartbreaking as well. You can sense they have strong feelings for each…
Totally agree! He was realistic in that fact. He knew in his heart that they both loved each other but he knew he couldn’t really ask for anything from her. He hasn’t grown enough to deserve her. Well he think anyways. I’m sad it’s coming to an end but happy to see what will be their hopefully happy ending

What’s refreshing about this drama is that, both the ML and FL are quite mature in their way of thinking. There is no misplaced anger or revenge, they know each other’s motive and still love each other anyways.
It’s interesting how the ML knows the FL is out for his dad and what she wants in revenge , he accepts idk and do the responsible thing of protecting everyone else in the family first before dealing with his own type of Justice and never once did he tried to stop her or say she’s wrong .
While she, despite the debt his dad has to her family, does not wish harm on anyone else in that family.
Their meeting in ep37 is heart breaking, they loved each other and yet knows it’s impossible to be together with all these baggage 🥺
It’s towards the end now and we can all tell that FL is back in revenge mood. I like they she equally drive the plot forward and is consistent in what she wants instead of being driving forward to the end by just plot.
I also appreciate a ML that isn’t driven to hurting the FL in retaliation for the lies and the hurt. He understand why she did what she did and he loved her anyways without being a little wimp. He has a clear motive too and he said so as much, protect his family by doing the right things, achieve his dreams, and most importantly, get her.
Lastly, it’s so obvious SML want FL, I’m surprised in the previews he’s kinda sitting back and letting FL run the show though.
I can’t talk about how much I love this drama. I even paid extra to have VIP access for Tencent streaming. That’s how committed I am to this lol. I haven’t had time this year to watch any drama so I’m glad the little free time I have, I gave to this drama. So sad it’s gonna end soon but so excited to see the ending.
Jing Tian has really been doing so well in her dramas. I’m so glad people’s opinion on her acting has changed for the better.
I mean with censorship the way it is, obviously the possibility of relations is slim to none. With that said though, I love how he’s so anguished over it but still chooses not tell her since they have been living in sin for weeks at that point and there’s no need to traumatized her too.
But eventually the conversation is gonna have to happen.
You can tell he still loves her and wanna be with her even when he think that there’s a possibility that they are half siblings. Which is why he’s so broken up about it.
Overall, I still love 29/30, they got to have lots of heart to heart moments, and getting to know each other. There’s no dumb arguments and intentionally hurting each other. Everything was consensual and romantic. Loved it all!
So far, I’m really enjoying this drama. While Jing Tian’s outfits and styling is not as beautiful as Si Teng’s styling was, it’s still so good in her. I think the match between the two leads work well too so I’m Excited to see where this go. I’m so happy there’s lot of sweet moments between them (i was crazing it in Si Teng lol).
I gotta say, Jing Tian really found her niche, I love that she played two strong characters in a row that drove the story forward with her decisions instead of having the plot carry her forward.
This drama is by far the most original I’ve seen in cdrama for a while. Everything is so engaging, from the set to the styling, to the leads. It’s pure magic. You won’t regret starting it! JingTian look so elegant and other-worldly that there’s honestly isn’t a better casting for SiTeng. Not to mention how firey her chemistry is with ZhangBinBin. Hopefully they do more drama together soon.
theres a site that does full translation but you need their permission to join. VIKI is updating pretty quick though and the subs are very good aside from the literal translation of the title. be patient!
I'm going through serious withdrawals now that the subs are complete. its such a beautiful love story. its so undramatic and unproblematic. I hate how people slept on this.
