I really cannot stand CSS’s mother. She may have a lot of guilts for abandoning her daughter in the first place. She is prideful so she can only see flaws and expect perfection in CSS. Most mother is harder on their own kids vs others bc of this type of expectation. Heck, I expect my own daughter to behave most of the time, which she isn’t and make me feel like a failure as a mother. This drama takes out of the context a little bit in my opinion but then I wouldn’t treat my daughter that way if I have been away from her for such a long time. I would try to build the relationship and nurturing my daughter with love and support even she lacks manners. No matter what, no mother should treat their daughters and abused them in such a way. I really hate this style of traditional upbringing so much! My own mother would not hit me that hard even I misbehaved. Punishment should fit the crime, but this is not one of those military style. This is too much in ep. 10. How is the kid gonna learn love ever if this is all they receive from their OWN mother. But I would NEVER want to pass down this type of parenting to the next generation.
I have been Zhao Lu Si’s fan for a long time since I accidentally discovered her from “oh my emperor” drama and have watched every single drama she is in. I am crazy, and I know it. She has grown so much since. But I have to say her collab with Leo Wu is the BEST! oh my god, I cannot see her with anyone else for some reason, even most ship her with LuYining. They look so good together, even in real life, they are almost same age!!! They on screen chemistry is off the chart.
Their chemistry could blow up the galaxy!! The horse riding scene is so funny as heck and sweet at the same time.…
Even that saying was to tease her but he meant it with his dreaming eyes every time! This chemistry is soooo good! Their collab is the best one so far for me. I couldn’t imagine her with anyone else now after seeing this drama. I always get giddy as a little girl whenever they are in the same screen. It’s so hot that they make me sweat so much like on a hot blistering sunny day!
Can someone help me kill off CSS’s mother?? I cannot stand her anymore…how can you considered yourself a mother when you left your child for how long, 10 years?! Then expect her to behave well without proper guidance. The heck is wrong with this lady. I am a mother myself. Kids learn fast during younger years. It’s crucial to be in their young life, and wo a mother’s guidance, a kid can be wild as expected. But she drives me insane with her justification for punishing CSS, always finding faults, and criticizing for not being proper. Even if she is forced to leave CSS, can she at least be sensible and gentle to a girl?! CSS isn’t a soldier to train or discipline like that. I am so done with this character. Sometimes, I want to jump into the screen and scream at her, “What the hell is wrong with your head”?! Her Father is useless too.

I know what you mean. She isn’t someone I follow much or familiar with too. The chemistry isn’t there either. I didn’t feel them as lovers and doesn’t match Xukai well at all.
Why do I feel so rushed at the ending? They did a time jump to one year later after the temporary truce between Jizhou and Yongzhou’s war. Then wedding, then back to fighting each other and the bad guy YWY. All the battles are all mushed together for me. I have no idea who is fighting who with all those towns fallen and / or taken back. Man, I wish they did a better job at these moments. Most importantly, what’s up with all the midair fighting’s scenes? Did we jump again from wuxia to god mode type drama? Their flying was crazy towards the ending fight.
Overall, I felt cheated for such great drama with theses ending episodes! This was a very good wuxia to begin with, esp with the witty conversations, fighting moments, and chemistry between the leads then it took a turn and kinda went downhill a little towards the end. Just my opinion, but please don’t kill me with these comments…I still love this drama, but probably will not watch again like other dramas…
That’s what I said too! All his other kisses in his other dramas never felt as real…but this bedroom scene…
I am like you. The curtains flowing back and forth gives me butterflies thinking what is currently happening at that scene. I definitely can feel the passion even though it wasn’t like Yangmi and Mark Chao in Eternal Love. Now that one, I have yet seen any other on-screen CP beating them. I got heat up during that scene when he wants to make another baby, lol.

I cannot imagine having your wife there with you and she watches you kiss some other woman, no matter how comfortable environment should be for all patties involved. If I was her, I rather not be there bc not seeing things will help my nerve more than being there. There should be a tacit understanding in this type of marriage. He is an actor and a huge celebrity. His line of work requires kissing unless he avoids all romance related dramas, which is like 80% or more are automatically eliminated for him. She is supportive but rather strict still in my opinion. Other actors’ significant ones understand their partner’s line of work. I don’t see any issues with them…just whenever I heard Allen Ren and his kissing scenes, I cringe so bad.

I have yet read the novel, which I heard this underwater scene supposedly is very romantic…now if they can make Allen Ren to really do the bedroom scene’s kissing. I am sure this added scene wouldn’t hurt. It’s just to prove how good of a professional actor he is and possibly a good kisser?! Not just still kiss shots tho. If other A list actors can do it, he can too regardless he has a wife or not. Mark Chao, with wife, can kiss like nobody business then he can too!!
