the first half of the show was super strong! the second half did feel a bit too dramatic and a bit loop-holy like…
Silly makjang stuff really wasn't needed, indeed.
It was all just same-old stuff too, in the way that every costume drama must end in narrowly defeating the villains as they try to storm the palace in a coup.

is it just me or k don’t like how they just played the FL friend like that was so unnecessary to make her husband…
It was unnecessary for both FL and SFL to have a pre-existing guy to lose, but the storyline itself made sense in that he kept deceiving her in new ways, and eventually it reached the point where nothing he said could be trusted anymore.
Unless there are young children involved, I believe people would get divorced over something like that IRL?

Title Glory
Guys wanted to start this drama and before starting just wanted an opinion check 1. Glory2. Fangs of Fortune Help…
FoF is a bit into BL on my scale.

From what I've watched, FoF's is HMH's best performance by far. He has a lot of presence & relevance.

He is good here in Glory, and sort of carries the show, but he sometimes has too silly facial expressions (more like BftBrink/DashingYouth). Often both the leads intentionally have rather static expressions, so you have to look for the (very) little things.

the bad ending?I understand why that would be the case. There are very few dramas where a bad ending actually…
You can choose your own adventure between it being a existential horror level bad ending and a kind of positive/hopeful/open ending.
For when you are done, there are plenty of posts here explaining how they reach each view.

Of course you can also not watch the last two episodes (lol), or move on to something else ASAP and forget about the ending.

Title The Unclouded Soul Spoiler
Past and present is not comparable to whether egg came first or the chicken came first problem. Past remain Past…
" Also, it seems when XY3 enters XY1 or XY2's body they seems to coexist with xy3 visiting time and know everything that has happened during that time and share her knowledge, feelings, experiences, enlightenment, actions and decisions are their decisions too. Why do I persist on understanding it this way, the reason is in ( ep 2 at 5 ) where XM explained to HY3 that he saw XY2 kill herself with a sword right after everyone left and Xy said "meeting you was the best decision I have made in this life" that was XY2 and others were witnessing ending her life but in ep 30 at 32, XY3 (after king looses all the fragments of kunlun mirror) cries Hong ye! Only and does not say meeting you was the best decision in this life instead quickly collects his tear essence and as soon as she collects it the array is activated and she leave she did not lift any sword to kill XY2's body. "
-> Well that's why I said it's two versions of the story, the 'current XY3 as XY2' XY2 lifetime incarnation and the one from before the latest time travel.
XM recounted this memory to HY3 before XY3 had ever timetraveled in the show, so this change had not been made yet.

" Because the holy mother's voice in the array she should remember they are all you meaning that they are her previous lives (not some other person). "
-> That too can just as well be taken as 'they are different incarnations of you', since a soul having multiple lifetimes & reincarnations is the expected reality in dramaland.
With time travel, parallel worlds, or reincarnation, there can be multiple versions of the same person that have different agendas, and in the dramas I've seen, killing a different parallel world's you is still murder, and sacrificing yourself for a you from a different time is still sacrifice. That's how I view this.

Of course, by now it seems clear we will just have to agree to disagree, since we interpret / judge all these in incompatible ways.

As a peace offering, let me leave you with a recommendation for https://kisskh.at/22605-hit-the-top (based on your list you might well enjoy it).

Have to admit, I'm not a fan of the writers choosing to use the stadium accident as the main source of tension…

Never seen a drama with this much kissing lol
It's suddenly a bit angsty with a "new season" ish setting after something major happens in the plot, but the ending itself isn't a catastrophe or anything.
Start from the beginning again, try a few episodes... the leads interact a lot, see if you like it, and if you like it just watch it. 🤗

It's a fluffy rom-com, barely a gaming drama. The game is used for an initial 'dual identities' spark, but like…
Going with that, I prefer the ones where they encounter each other in both realms somewhat simultaneously and also have a spark in both.
Not being on screen together is lame, who's got lifetime for that...

For me Dai Xu's performance of Pei Zhen was very similar Gao Han Yu as Du Lei in Love is Sweet (https://kisskh.at/49871-love-is-sweet).
I'm of course not talking about the character, but the way he expresses himself down to pressing on his glasses (for the glasses, Gao Han Yu has a masterful A+++ technique that is hard to execute).
Did anyone else feel it's familiar, or am I dying alone on this hill?

dw, the extra anxiety doesn't violate the constraints of fluffy rom coms

Hey i wanna watch this drama Can somebody tell me is it gonna be like Love Scenery, L ove O2Oyk classic gaming…
It's a fluffy rom-com, barely a gaming drama. The game is used for an initial 'dual identities' spark, but like most dual identity show that part isn't super satisfactory anyway. (I believe it was quite good in Love Scenery?)
=> If you're looking for video game immersion or competitive eSports, those ain't to be found here. More some game-ish 1920s roleplay really, and it's not a permanent fixture in the way the description above makes it sound.

Watch this if you like simple rom-com tropes, want believable couple interaction & I suppose a larger than average amount of kisses, and/or enjoy LYX very much.

(MDL summaries are generally written long before drama release.)

What I mean in https://kisskh.at/761021-xiao-yao#comment-24899598

If this is conventional time travel the way you describe, then:
- An actual XY1 (dragon) presumably had a relationship with an actual HY1 (human), sparking everything.
- An actual XY2 (Ning'an, half-demon) had a relationship with an actual HY2 (demon? human demon?). XM witnesses that HY2 dies and saves his soul, and that XY2 kills herself.
- A fresh XY3 (half-demon), the protagonist, meets a reborn HY3 (other protagonist, still demon or human-demon or something), who is actually still HY2 and maybe HY1.
- This XY3 travels into XY2 (= Ning'an), which for all purposes kills XY2, and has a new relationship with HY2, which changes the timeline in whatever ways and overwrites the memories of HY3/HY2.
- Then this XY3 travels into XY1, which might also kill XY1, and has a new relationship with HY1, after which she painstakingly re-creates the HY2 we know (setting up demon valley, demon lord status, and maybe altering his racial identity). This changes the timeline, and later on at the very end of the show, the HY3 we know (protagonist) obtains memories from that timeline.

XY3 seems to think she experienced the lives of XY1 and XY2, but she actually created new XY1 and XY2 lives/deaths, and outside of her own memory of told history she presumably erased those periods of the original lives of XY1 and XY2.

We have no idea what the initial first two couples did, and if this was a more serious sci-fi time travel story, you could add that we don't know if XY3 is the real (first) XY3. Besides a generic "fate forces events to play out the same way", 95% of what the viewer supposedly saw of XY1 and XY2 was instead influenced by XY3.

You're correct in that I can't say it's a chicken and egg problem because of insufficient information about those first two. It might or might not be.

I never realized the 'princess bed' had that sort of implication, thanks.
Though even if I view this HY as a different HY from the start, it could just as well be the HY who had a relationship with XY3 in XY2's time, and only knows that the XY2 he knew was the XY3 in front of him.
That is already the implication of "XY3 travels into XY2 (= Ning'an), which for all purposes kills XY2, and has a new relationship with HY2, which changes the timeline in whatever ways and overwrites the memories of HY3/HY2."
At least if you believe in "fate forces events to play out the same way", that can easily include "fate makes them have a nearly identical conversation here", as opposed to remembering the exact words from your own life. They're effectively overwritten in his memory anyway from XY3's first time travel, so his words and actions might already have gone exactly that way (for him).

Is that distinction what you mean with empty slate HY vs HY who himself time-traveled from a 'not alive not dead' state?

If you like nothing about what's at the end of E02, you probably also won't enjoy the "actually good" (sweet & fluffy) episodes that come a fair bit later. :(
