I love how close knitted and loyal everyone at Voya is. It's also refreshing to see the leads actually communicate with each other and talk through their problem, hence no unnecessary and draggy drama here.
First half of the drama we got lots of scenes of mouthwatering cuisines, but somehow midway through there are none ? The theme of the story shifted too, at first it was all about the food and then it became business related story line, and I sort of forget that FL is actually a chef still as she never really seen working or cooking in the kitchen anymore. Overall, I really enjoyed the first half of the series, but skipped through most of the later half.
Ok I’m kind of confused,I get that Yan Ke thought she was a boy and didn’t fully recognize her for a minute,…
Not sure how far along into the drama you are right now. Yi Fan always remember Yan Ke, but she was just unsure whether he still remember her or not, thus her acting as if they didn't know each other. The later episodes actually show a lot more flashback into their high school time, and it definitely showed that Yi Fan remember everything. In the last episode, Yi Fan even mentioned that she was actually trying to attract his attention by wearing the red dress (from the first episode), but unfortunately she failed because Yan Ke didn't recognize her :')
I guess one other reason why she seems to act as if she didn't recognize him was because in high school he kinda rejected her one time. She was about to confess to him, but he thought she was a boy and was confused about his own feeling - whether he actually liked a boy or not. After that, they had a fallout and never meet each other, I guess when they met again in college it was kind of an awkward situation for her.
When the FL is the outgoing, loud and bubbly type, they could be over the top at times and come across as cringey or annoying. But, Chen Yixin played the FL tremendously well. It was such a delight watching her acting cute, she's adorable ^^
I just couldn't get past how the SML attempted to kill the FL by chocking her, and everyone just moved on without addressing this big issue - or calling the cops on him. It was not a spur-of-the-moment action either, he planned everything! Then after, no one even mentioned the incident again, as if it never happened ://
This drama actually started off quite good (and funny too, the parents are hilarious!), but sometime in the middle it went downhill. They focused most of the drama on the conflict with that chair lady, which got super draggy. Wish they would explore more on the other two lifetimes, the 1910s(?) era look super gorgeous honestly.
Hongyo character reminds me of a boy that never really grow up. The way he couldn't decipher his own feeling for Terada to how Hase's "threat" actually forced him to start writing again - just like a little kid that needs to be bribed before doing their chores. Hongyo character really fascinates me. Probably because we never really got to know what Hongyo actually thinks or why he behave the way he does. I would love to know more of his background story and frankly what actually caused his ED because it's definitely psychological.
They really dragged the whole "he loves me he loves me not" plot for 25 episodes. At some point, everyone but the leads knew they liked each other. It's just too draggy for me. And what's with that ending... not sure why they have to squeezed in the plane crash plot in the very last episode ://
To me the supporting casts really are the best part in this drama. The ex-gf turned bff, the assistant, the step mom, Shen Yi's employees, all give so many color to this drama.
Love love love the FL character. She might've changed her job 5 times (or more? ^^) throughout the show, but she really worked her hardest in every single one of them, no cutting corner. And the scene where she exposed her coworkers for sabotaging their fashion show, epic!
I watched Unrequited Love before this one, and I didn't know that both drama share the same universe. I was pleasantly surprised watching how the story of Luo Zhi intertwined with GengGeng's.
I'm just not feeling the chemistry between the ML and FL in this drama. The romance were so rushed and felt kind of forced. Such a waste of potential because both actors have great chemistry when they starred in Good Morning Call.
This drama has such a great promise but unfortunately went downhill since the last several episodes. I agree with so many comments in here that the very last episode was rushed, and the conflicts between the ML and FL never properly solved and suddenly they are back together (?). If this was supposed to elude to a 2nd season, I'm not even sure if I want to watch it...
This was such a light drama, though it was kind of over the top and ridiculous at times, but fun nonetheless. The FL really was such a delight to watch, definitely the one that shine the most among all the casts. Her acting, and the character itself, remind me so much of Lee Sungkyung in Weightlifting fairy.
