14 episodes in, and I feel like it’s lacking something. I usually love dramas like this, such as Always Home, Lovely Us and Time and Him Are Just Right, but this one feels kinda boring so far. I love when dramas focus on friendship and the early stages of romance, but I can’t quite put my finger on what’s missing here that made the others so much more enjoyable for me.

i’ve been putting this on hold because i love both of the main leads so much and when this released i read really bad comments about it. so i don’t want to ruin the high expectations i have for this drama, but i think it’s time for me to give it a chance. i really love slow burn romances and i think i might like this one!

there’s so much tension between them and i’m pretty sure that the FL is already very attracted to him… it’s not okay for him to kiss her like that, but we already knew it was going to be super toxic, so i’m not gonna complain about this. they’re both so hot…

i’m absolutely loving this drama. i know we shouldn’t romanticize this kind of behaviour, and in real life i’d run so fast from a man like him, because this is obviously not okay. but this is fiction, and i think we can acknowledge that a character’s actions are toxic without pretending we can’t enjoy watching them on screen. am i going to overlook some of his questionable actions because i want these two together so badly? absolutely. do i want him? yes. would i ever want a man like him in real life? absolutely not. but damn, he’s so hot. i’m so invested in this couple, and i really hope they change the novel’s awful ending because i’m loving this drama way too much for it to end badly.

i’ve been watching chinese dramas for years, but i never watched historical ones because it’s not my thing. but he doesn’t have any modern dramas i could check, so i think i might need to give it a chance to check out his historical dramas!

the bathtub scene was the hottest thing i’ve ever seen….

Before i dive into this drama, can you say if it revolves more around the family, as it is stated in the genre? Because i’m here because of Chang Huasen’s and i want to see him coupling with the FML, but i’m not that interested in family’s drama plots..

i’m so sorry, but the main leads have no chemistry…..

If this was more focused on the two main couples, but specially on Mai and Xu Jun i’d give this 10/10. But it’s only 18 episodes and they focused a lot on the wedding and that little kid…. i had to skip everything.

I thought it had romance in it but i guess i was wrong 💔 i love the ML but i don’t know if i can keep watching it

currently in the middle of the first ep and i’m not enjoying this 😭 maybe because i don’t like the main leads acting and the way that it seems they’re recording this on a green screen…

shiyi is one of the best characters in the chinese drama world.... this drama could've been perfect, I hated how they ruined it
