filter is indeed an original story. the screenwriter is tong hua. she wrote many novels that have been adapted into dramas, ex: sacrlet heart, sound of the desert, a lifetime love, and lost you forever.

many people believe that tong hua's favorite character in lost you forever is xiang liu because she dedicated the epilogue to him and would post about him on her weibo. tan jianci acted as xiang liu in the drama adaptation of lost you forever. that being said, i've also wondered if tong hua became a fan of tan jianci, or at least holds some admiration towards him, after seeing him bring her favorite character to life so wonderfully.

as for li landi, the only drama i've seen of hers is the starry love, and i do see similarities between that and filter. in both dramas, she is mistreated by the people around her (for different reasons of course) and has one good ride-or-die girl bestfriend. in TSL, the ML's personas fall in love with her. in filter, the ML falls in love with HER personas lol

actually i wouldn't be surprised if it's true cuz i always felt that zhen hua really REALLY likes xiaohe, even more than susu. somebody i forgot (rose? or his friend, or maybe himself) also said it's unusual how hurt he was when xiaohe rejected him because he wasn't like that with his past crushes / relationships.

that's true. my guess is because his first impressions were just too strong. his first impression of su cheng cheng is that she's a bully, while his first impression of su miao is that she's brave and courageous, hence why he treated them differently.

not just those two; also in she and her perfect husband (there's probably another one too but i don't remember the name). i'm not knowledgable in hair styling either, but his stylists should definitely be. they should experiment with different hairstyles to see what'd suit him without being a repeat of his past ones. i just think it's important for characters to have their own uniqueness.
