I don't ship Yang Zi and Tan Jianci, only the characters they play in Lost You Forever. In fact, I actually ship Yang Zi with her Ashes of Love costar Deng Lun instead haha. But anyways, I do love and appreciate both YZ and TJC and their ability to fully immerse in their roles and bring them to life.

My intent wasn't to bash Xu Kai, I was just stating my opinion on his acting. I definitely don't think he is a terrible actor. But when you pair him up with someone like Yang Zi, the differences in their acting become evident and therefore make it hard for me to properly watch his/their scenes.

the fact that this drama only aired 12 episodes so far and has already become the 2nd highest rated tvN drama is insanee

when i saw that news, i thought the drama was almost done because high ratings are usually on the last 2 eps but nope! 4 more to go

Yang Zi always doing a fantastic job. When I watch the show, I don't even see Yang Zi, I see MCH. On the other hand, I can tell that Xu Kai is acting according to script and not fully immersing himself in the character. His facial expressions (especially the eyes) are pretty much the same in every scene. It's hard to watch the show when one of the lead actors is exceptional while the other is lacking. Not trying to be rude... just voicing my honest opinions and critcisms. Although I admit this might be a bit biased haha.

On top that, they're developing the relationship between MCH and YZM too quickly!! How did we go from a professional boss-employee dynamic to some enemies-to-lovers type bickering? Especially when MCH just broke up with her bf in the previous episode??? This feels so forced and unnatural.

tbh I've contemplated dropping this but I don't like giving up when I'm almost halfway 🥲 I've been watching the last 3 or 4 episodes in 1.5-2x speed, sometimes even 3x (don't ask lmao). I might just skim the next eps and only watch the scenes I find interesting.

With all her heart?? Well, her heart has one of the Lovers Bug living in it. Xiang Liu has the other one. These lovers bugs NEVER died after so many years, even when Xiaoyao dated and supposedly fell in love with Jing. Sooo what do you think that means? 👀

Even Jing knew her feelings for XL. That's why he entrapped her in the 15 year promise, saying, "You... you don't let another man... into your heart."

Where does it say that she's with him out of love? Did XY ever tell Jing directly "I love you", like what normal loving couples would say? Why does she have XL in her mirror but not her lover Jing? The waiting that can't be waited for... the true love that XY can't pursue and is afraid of pursuing.

i'd like to thank yang zi and tan jianci for raising my acting standards so high, that i can barely even watch dramas nowadays without nitpicking the acting 😭

when zaozao isnt home, the mom says who cares, lets just eat. but when huanhuan isnt home, the mom is concerned about huanhuan. so sad for zaozao who gets mistreated and disrespected in both his family and workplace. ☹

after watching ep 9, i feel like this drama is fine without romance. idc about love interest or ML. i just want mai chenghuan to be happy in her personal and work life. my girl already suffered enough.

i wish maomao didn't have a love interest 😭 i liked her older sister vibe toward huan and zao, but now they're trying to build a romantic relationship between her and zao.... it feels so wierd because she was like another family member to them. ugh why do they always have to make every relationship romantic. what's wrong with platonic??

yang zi's acting is always top notch. you'll see her smile but the eyes have no happiness in them at all.

i thought that too when i first got into cdramas but now i love it and hate kdrama airing schedules instead lmao

i've been fed so well by cdramas that i forgot kdramas only release 2 eps per WEEK. im gonna cry i really wanted to watch this but ill force myself to wait until there's at least 8 or 10 eps

i liked this movie overall when i watched it, so i'm surprised to see a relatively low rating. yes the first 20 mins or so were boring and the end could've been better. but it's a horror mockumentary that did its job pretty well.

the parts that shocked me the most were when nim saw the beheaded bayan god statue and when she admitted that she isn't even sure if bayan actually exists (or possessed her?)

you can't expect that all of his dramas will be the same though. maybe you should wait until all the episodes are released, so you can skip to when their romantic relationship develops and see if you like it then.

i think part of the reason why i continue to watch this show is because i see myself in huan. she feels pressure to be successful because of her mom and the stigmas surrounding her lower social class. she has a helicopter parent whose actions are rooted in love and concern for her well-being yet at the same time completely dismisses her opinion. you don't even know if you're supposed to love them because they're doing it out of love or hate them because they're not respecting you and your feelings.

many viewers are ticked off by the mom's behavior but unfortunately, this happens in real life all too often, so it's nice to see a show shedding light on it. i look forward to see how huan will break out of her mom's overbearingness.

yes i know. i'm just saying that i can empathize with the disappointed fans. the things like listing XK as ML and promoting him a lot are misleading because this drama is mainly about YZ's character.

exactly. i put most of the blame on the drama's production team for misleading fans.
and a main lead not even appearing in some episodes is ridiculous! unless they're dead and waiting to be revived. they didn't show LYN for even just a couple of minutes in those episodes?

yup, i agree with you. all of those are misleading. that's why i can understand why people would be upset about his lack of screentime.

i mentioned the romance part because some viewers thought the FL and bf plot is too draggy and the overall story is too slow in terms of developing the main leads' romance. given that XK is listed as ML, you'd naturally expect that his character would have more significance and for the romance to start developing by now, especially after six episodes. plus, many people like to watch dramas for the romance after all. so when a drama that is labeled as "romance" and promotes the ML a lot doesn't serve exactly that (at least in the beginning), it's no doubt that viewers will be frustrated and disappointed.
