There were several “I hate WJY and she is ugly” reviews.
i am the same! i usually end up disliking couples with an age gap, but wang xingyue and wu jinyan created so much chemistry i love itt. tells you a lot about how wonderful their acting is
so sad to see her career go downhill because of tax evasion :( it breaks my heart everytime i see cheng yi's popularity increase everyday, while yuan bingyan stays in the dark. if only she didn't get into this controversy, she could've achieved the same success as him too 😭
The death of tong was heartbreaking. I cried and couldn't stop. They could have just let her leave town, not killed…
leaving town would be a much better option but i think it wouldn't make sense for her to just up and leave when she's been with JL/XFF for a very long time and is her maid after all
as salty as we may be, it's not surprising considering that killing off the lead's sidekick/best friend occurs way too frequently in movies. unfortunately our tong'er had to be a victim of this trope 😭
when tong'er told JL/XFF about what she'll do after it ends, i thought, yeah this girl is gonna die lmao. completely forgot that this is the ep she dies in fr
i couldn't stop crying in the last scene where JL/XFF was trying to hold in her composure, until she remembered their moments and started wailing and calling out for her. so heartbreaking 💔 i'm happy the drama showed that because i've seen way too many dramas where the leads treat the side character's death like nothing - just a tear or sad face then quickly move on.
then, seeing jiang yuanbai's face when JL/XFF pretended(?) to be possessed by yue was so sad. and i hate to admit this lol but i also felt a LITTLE bit sad when ji shuran's toxic loverboy died. even villains have feelings.
Is the express package out? I'm still at episode 35.
i don't watch on the official platforms so i'm not completely sure 🥲 however, since people have been able to finish, then yes i believe it's been released
You may know A-Lin as the singer of Princess Weiyoung's OST 天若有情 (tian rou you qing), and Yang Kun as the male singer in the iconic cover of 纳共和国离婚 / Divorce in Ghana alongside Zhang Bichen (https://youtu.be/-F3e2yFB5Yo?si=u_luj6x3skjsY4BC)
Can someone pls tell me why this drama is bad? I wanted to watch this and even put it on my "plant to watch" last…
I dropped it in the first ep once I saw that the leads first met when FL was a grown woman (literally the LEADER of Tushan clan) and ML was just a little boy 😬 I'm fine with age gap romances but not when one was a minor when they first met eachother!
Other criticisms I've seen people comment: boring, choppy editing, bad script, bad acting (more towards Yang Mi), overly reliant on CGI during fight scenes, no chemistry between FL and ML, and one-dimensional characters like the villain.
feeling sorry for HIM, when he's the one who murdered his wife?? 😬 oh, so they also defend the fox here too. that's not surprising at all... syr and tsj may be pitiful but they had a choice. unfortunately, they both decided to choose the cowardly and selfish route
yes we love them <3 xiaoheng/duke su 🤝 xiang liu morally gray characters who look at the person they love so tenderly and affectionately, empower them, and are always there to protect them when they're in danger
these are just numbers anyway. i've seen 9☆ dramas that should've been in the 8, and dramas in the 7 that should've been in the 8

"2700 years old? You're ancient and you still want a wife?? What if... it doesn't work down there anymore?"
- famous words said by Liguang Yetan 🤣🤣🤣
