i think it's the filters, styling, and makeup that made the characters look younger. even tan jianci (33 in real life) could pass for 25 in this drama

The story is most likely going to focus more on the voice acting and the love/relationship, so I don't think you'll have to worry about it becoming a medical drama!

@Kokuto Ah yes, Ru Shuo! Even though I'll probably dislike him just a little bit in s2 :') There are so many more characters I could add. Xiyan Emperor, Haoling Emperor, Fanfeng Yiying, Xinyue, Laosang, Xiaoxiao, Jin Xuan... and of course the Qingshui squad (Laomu, Chuanzi, Tianzi, Tian'er)

Episode 11 is my favorite so far. The guy friends are hilarious, and of course it's always funny seeing Mo Qing Cheng and Gu Sheng trying to hide their relationship 🤣

But I'm a bit sad we didn't get to see Mo Qing Cheng rest his head on Gu Sheng's shoulder like in the novel... :(

Mo Qing Cheng (Tan Jianci) is not dubbed. Both singing and speaking are his own voice.

Gu Sheng (Zhou Ye)'s speaking voice is her own, but her singing is done by another person (who seems to be Le Xiaotao)

i understand what you mean, but i feel like they're just acting according to the characters. if you read the novel, you'll know that mo qing cheng (tan jianci) would usually speak in a deeper voice to gu sheng (zhou ye). plus, the drama is supposed to be "boring" - it's a cute and fluffy romance with barely any actual plot.

by the way, i highly recommend you watch "lost you forever" if you wanna see tan jianci's exceptional acting :')

good to know i wasn't the only one who noticed... but it seems like china has an obsession with filters nowadays in cdramas and social media like douyin - so what can we do? 😭

i dont see any comments about my girl Dou Dou Bing... so i'll say it. i love her character! chill, gives good advice, treats Gu Sheng like a little sister. the actress Chen Hao Lan has a really nice voice too.

finally got the chance to watch episode 1
- mo qing cheng/tan jianci. no words needed.
- gusheng/zhou ye is so adorable!
- them talking about food makes me hungry 🥲
- i love that we get to see mo qing cheng's life too, unlike the novel
- the ending theme, with that beautiful song and all those photos, feels so nostalgic. it's like a happy memory that you never want to leave. i can't imagine how i'll feel when this drama ends :(
