Is that the more Kang sang knew about the Truth he will be fading?? Pls nooooo
I'm hoping that once he knows the whole truth he will be zapped back to 1995 with enough evidence to convict that gang right at the beginning of their crime careers, and to stop the cult and let his brother regain his life. Too much to ask???
I am not into brother / step-brother relationships either. There have been a few BLs that have had the ick factor - notably HIStory 4 Close To You. Even Cherry Blossoms After Winter came close, as they had grown up as brothers. But this show is different - the 2 boys had never met before, they met at 17 and it was more of an enemy to friends situation that developed into deeper feelings, all before they found out about Su Yu's mother and Wu Bi's father. I suppose legally they could be called step-brothers, but emotionally there is no family background tie-in. In fact the theme of 'found family' is stronger in this show.
Finally made the effort to see who plays Han Bokuang, our cute little Xiao Zhan look-alike: Profile Name: 箫焕 / Xiao Huan Profession: Actor Birthdate: 2001-Jan-16 (age 22) Birthplace: Jiangxi, China Talent agency: Feibao Media TV Series Chun Hua Lang Man Chen Xiao Zhu (2023) as Sang Ran Stay With Me (2023) as Han Bokuang
I'm half way through ep 21, and I can't work out what the heck the cousin's deal is? Why all this drama? Hopefully it will become clear. I do not trust the cousin one little bit.
Not another Patty Cake (Step by Step) situation where everybody and their gay bestie fall in love with the same…
It's like they took the scripts from other BL's and mashed them together: 1) Step By Step - clueless intern, model/actor ex-boyfriend 2) Wedding Plan - gay guy with fiance as cover 3) Love Mate - advertising agency, model/actor ex-boyfriend 4) Dinosaur Love - cute but boring male lead that every other man lusts over. Why? There's probably more, but I agree, we're TIRED of the lack of originality.
That was my thought too. Not another drama with a man who is engaged, falling for someone else. I'm SO over this plot line. I was hoping it was a translation error, and she said "your friend"
There's a lot of people on here condemning Dong Joo for stealing the manuscript in the first place, but no-one seems to be saying how much his naive, clueless, airheaded mother keeps putting him into financially impossible positions. She is like a child, with no remorse, and just floating through life with no thoughts to the consequences of her actions. She just brushes off his attempts to get information about his father, saying it's in the past & not important. I'm finding her very frustrating as a character. Having said all that, this is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time, and a prime example of why Korean crime thrillers are SO much better than American cop procedurals.
Actually I am curious. What is the real parental pressure? Are they being threatened with disinheritance or being…
You are right. Lom and Yiwa are virtually expecting their loved ones to spend their lives being a dirty little secret, so that they look good to their families. I know this show is not that deep, but it is raising some interesting moral questions, and it is good to see people discussing it. If it was real, can you imagine being Nuea, never able to be open with his own family, never being able to attend any public function with his partner, having to always meet in secret. That would be a horrible life.
I will never understand people who do this for their family. Sure if you are threated yes I understand but these…
I understand that Asian cultures respect the older generations. What I don't get is why they don't try to break the cycle. If your parents have been controlling and dictating your life and making you miserable, why on earth would you do the same thing to your own children?
the parental pressure rly hit hard this ep...but also spent the last part screaming at the screen FOR LOM TO TELL…
Actually I am curious. What is the real parental pressure? Are they being threatened with disinheritance or being cut off financially? Do they have to be married to inherit the family business (whatever that is)? Or is it just the delusional mothers? If it is only the mothers, then they have every right to do what they want with their lives, and to tell their mothers to butt out!
shiballlllllllllll...... I never expected this from mame and memindy why they are bringing this shittest plot…
I guess this kind of arranged marriage does happen, especially for gay people facing family pressure, but are they thinking what happens after the wedding? They would have to live together because the mothers would be 'just dropping by' constantly, and there would be pressure to produce grandchildren. There is no way they could get married and keep living their seperate lives with other partners.
Does anyone else think that Charn (Film) looks a bit like Nanon without the dimples? My brain tends to look for similarities and patterns, so I'm often "OH he looks like him".
