Not really a comment about the show, but it seems odd that Viki has only got 2 episodes so far, but other sites have got 8 (with subtitles), with ep 9 due tomorrow. I am up to ep 7 and I'm finding this show so interesting and engrossing. I really want to see how the past and present interconnect.
Ep 4 - I just can't. Are the scriptwriters a bunch of 13 year old fangirls? This feels so far from reality it is cringy. If Punn and Ashi ever got together and Ashi saw Punn's bedroom, he would be out of there before you could say 'creepy stalker'. Whether a show is a comedy, drama, or scifi, there still has to be the feeling that it is taking place in the real world.
I really hope the women have the upper hand by the end of the series otherwise I’ll be writing some strongly…
Yeah, I'm undecided after the first episode. I didn't really care enough about any of the individual characters, and men acting macho and predatory, and the women being considered prey...to be honest I don't know if the right word is cringy or wanky (Aussie expression).
There was no purpose of season 2 if Akira was going to be the same as he was in first season. I don't know what…
I don't know what Akira's issue is either. In season 1 he openly stated he was gay, so he is not closeted, but he definately has some deep intimacy issues or phobias. It doesn't help that they have de-aged Shin in this, saying he is 17 (unless it was a bad translation), when he would be 19 by now. We saw his 18th birthday in S1 ffs. Also Akira has just turned 29, but keeps calling himself a man in his 30's (unless that is translation issues too).
I liked this first episode, but I hope Lom is honest with Nuea so that Nuea doesn't think Lom is being unfaithful to his fiancee. We had enough of that lying by omission in Loneliness Society. The leads are very cute and Sunny gives me Xiao Zhan vibes at certain angles - I think it is his eyes 🥰
Why the heck does the manager have to follow Mueang to see why he goes to a bar? Is it any of her business? Yeah, after 3 episodes I don't know if I will continue with this. The managers are totally putting me off this show - especially the man in bad wigs & a dress. Why do they have to do trans representation so over the top and cringy - if they are playing for laughs it misses the mark with me. It reminds me of really bad old English sitcoms from the 70's & 80's. Also Ja as Punn looks so awkward. He moves like an alien who hasn't figured out how to move in a human body, with that weird hunched over walk and strange hand movements. I had high hopes for this show, but ended up skipping over scenes this time. I like First as Ashi. I feel that he does the aloof persona to protect his career and his personal life. And this look really suits him.
No-one commenting how genuinely annoying Punn's younger brother is? He torments and bullies Punn, defaces his property, comes in his room to mess with him constantly. The parents really need to discipline him in some way, because that is not the way to build good sibling relationships.
