I like this part of their life... where he is so unrestrained with no memory, doesn't even know who he is or which family but he is so happy to be with her and follow her around like a puppy ... and even ask to sleep with her, lol! even in the inn his face shows that so badly... I first saw CL in A Familiar Stranger... but if you see him now... he has become a confident actor..... very good at it. He emotes so well..!! He cant takes his eyes off her....and his gaze.... !!
Song Yi is also good... it took me a little time to get adjusted to her role as a fighting general... Hopefully she will use some knives.... that arrow looks tooo delicate in her hand.... !!
I have finally finished This drama.... and my take on this
For a story which has so much intensity and depth... I feel the drama couldn't bring the full effect. I feel many a times we forgot the first scene of weeping buddha and related murders... by the time we reach towards the end.... I know its one mystery to solve Yesha...with 36 episodes needs too many fillers...
Cast was good... Bei Ming, Kong Yun , Xue Man were brilliant, I always like WXY's acting... his expressions and dialogue delivery... I dont like missing his dramas..
Eventhough i have been reading constant complaint about the FL through out, I feel she portrayed her part brilliantly.... which is not at all and easy part. For young bride who lost her father and husband on the same day, mysteriously... She portrayed herself very well... with a sullen expression , bcoz she is angry she cannot ask for explanation from her BF since he went missing... and there is no one else to turn to... which will be a very confusing and painful experience... which she did very well..! Kong Yun was equally good like BeiMing but he is so engroosed in coming up 1st or beating BeiMing that he looses focus... I liked his dandy look with braids and colorful attire....!! and also liked that he felt relieved when BeiMing finally made an appearance.. that was a welcome change..
The Little white dragon... was the cutest medicine man you could find... I was shell shocked when i saw him jumping and hitting the rock wall with his shoulder... trying to open the cell they were locked in... I was like.. did they forget he is introduced as this frail with no martial arts... character .
Dai Rong............!! was a welcome addition to the group.. I was so sure she is doing a negative character... so was watching cautiously..... but to my surprise she was doing her part well....!
The story of Haiya was heartbreaking.... I still didn't get why the prince was locked himself in the prison instead of shedding some light to them or helping..... He felt that guilty he could have opened an orphanage and took all these children... ...!!
But there was no regret or remorse for creating Haiya from the ruling side also... even at the end.. since they are the actual creators of this mess.... Yes like the ML told Tong Shuang at the end.. there were choices... instead of killing more innocents... for that you need guidance....!!
On the whole it was a good drama... but I would have loved it if it were to end in 24 episodes...!!
Drama by Deng Ke. In Legend of Shen Li , Wei Zi Xin had similar character Fu Sheng.... evil and horrible, Then he became a wise advisor of Wei Shao in TPoB, and now back again a warlock.... Him and Yue Yang are in most of Director Deng Ke's dramas... really good actors... So is ShenLi's General. ... here Li Shuang's comrade-in-arms... Most of his supporting actors are powerful actors.
Director Deng Ke's dramas have HE and usually very worth watching....!! with all the seriousness, there will be so many hilarious instances... you will be chuckling to yourself..
Somehow... I dont know how Song Yi is going to fare. I have always seen her as dainty, refined, gentle FL with a fragile voice... cannot somehow imagine her to be a badass general....lol! hope she will surprise me!
I am on Episode 3 and so far its good.... Of course... Cheng Le is great choice for ML, even the little kid I like... pretty spunky...!!
Man Niang is so annoying. Poor male lead, he thought she loved him sincerely, but in reality, she's a gold digger…
I just happened to watch a modern drama "Here We Meet Again" with Vin Zhang and Janice Wu...... guess who is the trouble maker there...... our own Manning...! That actress always doing negative roles... and getting better and better at it....
But I feel ML's step mother is much more evil... that Manning is more greedy and crafty and crude....
My only question is, When the stupid King and psychic CZ knew that both the generals are in love with each other…
The story of all SML that just get her to me... "time will make her fall in love with me" cheeesy line...!! King as in all historic drama has this fear of joining two powerful army generals could overthrow him... syndrome....!!
But Chengle's gaze kept me going, I overlooked everything else.........ROFL!!! I must say the costumes, hair... was absolutely gorgeous ...!! Also fights towards the end.. with both together was really well done..!
