You have to understand... the Main Leads story, which is the main plot, will be developing slowly after both experiencing diff demons' world, which are the subplots, so naturally each plots story has to be stand out within their time shot, where as main leads have all 36 episodes to get to know and fall for each other.
The stories are so interesting.. one crazier than the other, from ep10 to 15..another subplots, The Reunion Inn, (I think i heard friday the 13 music in between...lol!)
from ep 17...its Under ground city or Painters world ... very weird .. and i am still stuck there.
I really like that acting of both the leads and every actors ...!

I am just on ep 14 and really Song Zuer and Actress Zhang Zi Xin doing Feng Wu Niang seriously acting so incredibly ... I started this drama to see SZ after such a long gap and enjoying it well... Wu Niang team is so deadly....jeez!!

Nirvana in Fire was few of the dramas i have seen when i started and didnt know many of the actor at that time, i was pretty impressed with Jin Dong in the beginning episode and got disappointed when there wasn't any thing much from him later on. then liked Wu Lei (little Fei Liu) also... Hu Ge is very selective I think... I must rewatch it now. I must say I somehow preferred NIF2, i finished boxes and boxes of tissues.... it was sooo good.! Plus i like the acting of Liu Haoran and Huang XioMing, their father and the emperor (Liu Jun) all great actors..
Rebel Princess.. I have started, but somehow didnt complete.. put it on Hold... eventhough Zhou Yi Wei is an actor i greatly admire... esp in "Longest day in Chang'an", he is too good.
Double I have seen, but didnt like the ending..I wanted it to end at ep 40 @ 20 mins... I feel the rest were an add on ..plus killing of those two guys.. all very unnecessary.
"Blossom" did wonders to Liu Yunrai, who is doing Yuwen Yue in PA2... initially all were against taking younger actors when the second part in the novel is after 3 years they meet up.. it cannot be they become young in the ice lake... (rofl!!)
Princess Royal... great! except for so much screen time given to the second ML, undue importance given to him was a waste and totally annoying. But Zhang Linghe and Mai mai... were too good.
Zhang LInghe and Bailu did The story Kunning Palace which also good..!
I watch only CDramas, so almost all good ones i have seen... Actually there isn't any rules, but the fans of Chinese actors can go bersek at times. I do it out of respect to those who painstakingly created that drama.

The Legend of Zhuohua - have you seen? Political Intrigues, both the leads are equally crooked and smart.... (i didn't like voice given to the ML, he sounded like a weak old man, after seeing him so brilliant in Minglan)
Have u seen Princess Agent? it is my first drama which got me hooked into this Cdrama world. Its a bit brutal(slaves and masters) but with breathtaking Chinese locations, wonderful costumes, a huge cast of top talent and the choreography of the fight scenes is wow. It has a strong cold and ruthless female warrior FL. Keep in mind its a 2017 creation it has its flaws. Its based on a novel, after releasing season 1 it got into a plagiarism issue and till recently they couldnt make a season2. But now the filming is going on for season 2.
