Hanhai is a secret project which no way he could tell her, which is against work ethics.. but he did contemplate.. was hesitant wondering how she will react... will she act like a kid, like how she is doing or take it on equal level, understand and work together...
And the writers showing us only how broken HT is ... he may not die for her... but he expected more from her.
And what she said about paying for the time she spent with him.. is totally put her down.
Now she is a CEO, can she just resign and run away... with out telling HT. Story sadly showing a very mature ML and kiddish spoiled girl in love sulking away...!
EP 31 I was disappointed by the FL character...... so badly proved, she absolutely have no clue about business, HT on the other hand patiently explained things out to her...... The minute ZD informed her inner secrets, She should know ZD will never do anything for JX's benefit and she should have told HT and clarified if she doubted.. instead she sneaked into his safe and still didnt check with him, he at every turn assured her he will not harm her company...
Actually the whole reason HT invested in her, obviously he loved her, but also he was proud of the way she can work from school days... Here instead of going cray cray and screaming... and going berserk. They should discuss and work hard together and make herself indispensable.... But instead she pushed the merger and HT agreed. It will be beneficial for Xingchen... !
Thats why the Grandpa had doubts in her, Grandpa brought up HT with no kid glove and hard life so he will be an achiever, not emotionally driven...

Actually XuKai's acting is worth watching in this drama.... I find HT, XYX and Linjia's mother Han Yumei the best characters! This is a modern Office Romance.
WLIS is an awesome watch... both the leads and their story is sooo good. The location, cinematography all too good... country living.. actually makes you feel refreshed.. than the competitive city living. I like Zhu Yutong... and almost all her dramas...

The problem is Xingchen took off just bcoz of HT's connections and investment, but all these delulus seriously got carried away.
Remember she quit her job and took her junior's plans to build a business, he had only a place and money he thought his father gave him... lol! then the first commitment they borrowed money and paid for a printer and the guy ran away with it... can anyone survive from that....! all their exposure one after another HT took her and introduced or gave her invites... Yes she is hard working.

I think his character was written very poorly in the story, a person given a chance to make amends and rectify but turned around and did the same mistake more deviously and with force.... and then they gave him so much time to die...and even given a chance to play Guqin before dying... and I was literally chanting die die die....lol!
