Hmmm.. They both were so in love, so why obligation. the Ultimatum was bcoz of Fie er, that she might use them again and again as long as she is around when they are in Hupu.
Here its the lack of communication, yes he said he was afraid to tell her.. and burden her.... I understand its twist in the plot, but thats unrealistic for me. But i continued.. still feel like kicking him a bit to open his mouth and talk ...
One stand out quality in the ML is, he is steady about not messing with Fie er at all ever since he became the boyfriend of FL, (which i rarely see in any drama usually stories use some sympathy note to soften the ML then misunderstanding ) here she doubts bcoz of her insecurity..
Many people commented about him running away with the bride leaving his girl behind, thats bcoz he didnt take care of the security which led to people walking all the way to the brides chamber.. where was the brides maid.. who is supposed to accompany her not to socialize on her own.....
so there are few things like that in the story... but its still good..

I am on ep 21, I have really liked this story, but here is where they failed me. Its a very natural thing to inform your loved on if you have an emergency in your family. Here he is not calling or didn't even inform her of his father's death. I think its her right to pay respect, also its respecting his father to inform of his death esp since he liked her and told the ML to go and explain to her.

Just finished watching, I find Song Wei Long and Zhang Yujin 's acting the best in the drama, FL was not convincing enough. May be I hate to see when they make a 32 year old so dense. I feel its a let down of the character.
But the drama is good, though too many things stuffed inside unnecessarily. My God first time i am seeing David wang, he is a manipulative stalker who forced himself on you. He really did his part very well plus there was a fun side to him as well.
I didn't like Esther Yu in the beginning.. b'coz of her squeaky baby talks... eeeek!! but she slowly grow on you with her cuteness...! But the brother .. was amazing!
Song wei Long was very realistic as a young fellow so in love but forced to keep all inside him... Story was good in the first half.. the fear of community acceptance and its being accepted or affects the family... all these Anxy parts are very true.
The brother sister bond and their interactions.. was the cream of this drama... really liked his acting more... esp his reactions of every comment and rolling eyes....ha!

I think I sound as if I am pushing you to watch.. its just the conversation took that turn. Some dramas I happened to come across and I feel its overlooked by many and should recommend.. Same way I happened to watch "A familiar Stranger," and recommended all to give it a go...
People have diff choices.. I have never seen Untamed, 10miles of peach blossoms, Ashes of Love or You are my Glory... bcoz i heard so much recommendation..... So I understand..! anyhow nice chatting!

I have tried hard not to give you any spoilers... I went back and watched the trailer, and couldn't get any idea about the drama. Alright the brawn and brain.. is all about the story, everyone doubted how Guo Qi Lin can pull the main leads part, b'coz He’s different from standard godly male lead, and I like that this drama portrayed him this way. He is simply brilliant, both in terms of intelligence and how his character is written. Hence the reference to brain and brawn. People tend to be drawn to him because of his cleverness, genuineness and great personality. He has a huge following.. ! both men and women!!
I think only FL didn't have much standout part.. the story is like that... they are forced to marry and that too marry in her house... Matrilocal I think is the word ... He had no choice but to agree...so maybe in second season they might be good.. (They have already announced the second season) So romance is.. Meh!!! sometimes you feel for him .. poor guy, the way he was treated initially.
You know this is a body swapping or time travel story, where a modern day business man transmigrates into ancient China, into our hero, Ning Yi's body.
Drama is visually so beautiful, hilarious and at the same time.. there are very touching scenes also. Huge cast.. beautiful and colorful costumes.. each supporting actors did brilliant job. I really liked it. If JoL is engrossing and intense.. this will relax you and make you laugh...

And the director is also doing The Legend of Shenli.

If the ML is not eye candy many people dont watch... but seriously you should give it a go, unless you like only romcoms. The weird combination is the highlight of the drama in a way. Its not always brawn which wins, but you need brains too.

I have started this, but its so like the American drama "Big Little Lies" with 5 main stars - Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, and Zoë Kravitz . So didn't feel like continuing, I know this might be diff to gel with asian/ Chinese viewers.
BLL is such an intense drama.

I couldn't believe I finished this drama in two days, each and everyone did their part so well, esp
Zhai Zi Lu. Such a well balanced, simple and beautiful high school drama. There are so many hilarious scenes too.. at the same time... you need a box of tissues for the sentimental scenes, its not sad and depressed but emotional scenes... which can tug your heart string..

Fat version was so damn cute and clever, wish they should seriously show such versions.. instead of body shaming.. ! I was rolling in laughter when they both walked into school with their back side stuck on a plank.. so funny! but we forget all that once his original form starts..

I have seen this when it was released... but came to watch Zhang LingHe, bcoz i think he is a good actor and good emotional expressions also, and Imust say the FL so adorably cute.... and she is only 16 when it was released. She acted so soberly.. not the usually screaming female leads.. Some of the scenes are soo emotional even when i watched a second time. Good drama. I really liked. I think she is young to do too romantic scenes... So hopefully they will do a season 2 later..

Since him and FL grew up together like siblings, initially he was there at every turn.. that's how the story went.. but then his role withers away.. not totally, but not as often in the story as the beginning but he did a good. if you are looking for Maid's Revenge role (lol!!).. no, he is not that at all here.

I have finished watching, its pretty interesting story, time lapse and crime thriller.. what not. There are few filler sections in episodes I fast forwarded.. I came here while waiting for episodes release of SToTD, and the ML was very interesting. Here also I liked him, he might not be the usual Romcom hero, but he was good. Esp when two of them.. and to show diff emotions on his face.. he is good!
But the FL as an actress is very good, but her character was most annoying... I cannot understand the logic behind one partner taking the decision when they are a couple, with out any discussions and the excuse being they dont want the other partner to suffer.. but aint heartbreak the biggest suffering... this is a trend i see in most of the CDramas.. and i feel the most selfish act.
Then the SFL... jeez such a deadpan expression ... i think Walkin dead characters were more cheerful.
Dai Gao Zheng , SML was so wasted here... but all his part with the FL was really good watch.. their actions and affections were so realistic. but his miserable SFL was more of a stone wall, the actress was seriously lacking...
Then the ending, I know many people were upset, but I think it is the right thing to happen... instead of spending 45mins a day.. its better to spend a life together, walking hand in hand...is any day better..

Actually he is better in "Your Sensibility My Destiny".. I didnt complete it yet.. supporting role only .. but better person so far

Actually its a very good drama. It really shines bcoz of the two main leads who really did their part so well.. After watching few episodes I have read many were disliking the ML.. but the story if you see, the FL always stood by him, admired him and only she could manage him... To know ML's character you need to see the circumstances he grew up, seeing his parents esp his father... then you will understand.. and when he see the FL's family atmosphere.. he will understand how she is so happy and bubbly... character growth of ML is outstanding.. I think Lin GengXin had a tougher part to play, not liked by many.

The only flaw or sad thing is, The actual Shen Qui is left miserable with no ending for her. I binged watched and finished. its really good. the plus point of mini series are not extra filling ... to drag it.

Jeez, by chance I thought of giving this a try, since I saw this name mentioned in a comment. and I am binge watching and enjoying it

While waiting.. I was looking for some good dramas and I came across one "A Familiar Stranger" I am at ep4 and its really something.. mini series. 18 episodes and each episode is only 10 mins.. Just happened to read someone commenting on it.. and watched.. !

The director of this drama, Deng Ke, also directed "My Heroic Husband" which was one amazingly Superb drama, So I am seriously wishing all the very best for this drama too...
