I personally loved the original & I'm only on ep 1 on the Korean version, but the Korean version is already incredibly rushed. I get they only have a season of this, but it was quite obvious to me that you can't summarize all of the original seasons into just one. Not a big fan, but might continue to watch. When you try to summarize so much into such little time frame, you are bound to lose character development. I am seeing a lot of people say that the Professor doesn't have the original charm & I agree so far. I feel like his character development & his intelligence is glossed over in this version so far. Characters feel shallow, but I will wait for the remaining episodes. I just don't think you will get as much depth as in the original.
It's interesting, the idea of 'out of context' in dramas. In real life, romance exists everywhere, its natural.…
I don't think it's out pf place in terms of the plot, I'm saying the editing can make it seem out of place at times. Just my opinion. As for the pacing, it's also my opinion. It just didn't meet my expectations & that is fine. I'm still excited to watch.
I think the leads have really great chemistry, but I do feel like the romance scenes are a little out of place given the whole context of the show so far & I also feel like it's been rushed a little bit. Does anyone else feel the same way? I'm curious as to what others think so far.
I disagree.....i saw this coming.....as soon as they had her fangirl and chasing after him...even though he was…
I think you should use a spoiler tag. I'm not sure what ur disagreeing with tho? I never said this wasn't predictable. I'm just saying that what he did was an *ss move. The fact he completely ditched her after his ex of 3 years came back & what he said was just SO RUDE!
Sigh. Really disappointed in the direction that Junghwan and Yoomins relationship is going. I was really hoping to have a cute grumpy & sunshine romance where Junghwan starts to fall for Yoomin, but after this episode, he fucked up real time. Junghwan has been a little bit of a jerk ever since the beginning & only recently did we see his warmer, kinder side. But then he has to ruin it all by practically ditching Yoomin for the girl that dumped him with no reasons 3 years ago. The only way they could fix this relationship imo is if Yoomin stands her ground, properly this time, because she always goes back to him if he does the slightest nice thing AND Junghwan has to do some serious grovelling. Honestly this relationship could’ve been so well done if Yoomin was a little less pushy? (Is that the right word?) with her feelings. I feel like she just throws herself at Junghwan when it’s clear Junghwan just isn’t ready. But Junghwan really can be a dickhead sometimes & he is so painfully awkward like dude, do you like her or not? 😭 Seriously though, if I don’t see some real grovelling & some growing up then I’ll be really unsatisfied with Yoomin & Junghwan’s ending.
It might seem a little quick but I think Yumin is just very straightforward? She straight up says what she thinks.…
I totally agree with this. I probably should've clarified though. I don't mind how straightforward Yoomin is. In fact, I love FL like that. I think what was lacking was Junghwan's whole "I'm falling for her". I feel like out of nowhere he just started to have feelings for her. I wish that we had a little more build up to Junghwan's feelings & that we got to see more of his "I'm falling for her" yknow? I love them together anyways, like I said, I LIVE for the sunshine & grumpy couples. But I just wish they had a little more development.
I really like Junghwan and Yoomin together but I HATE the whole "I'm not over my ex". I think Yoomin deserves better & I feel like theyre relationship progressed oddly quick from her confession to all that. Idk, I do really like them though since I'm a sucker for the whole "sunshine & grumpy" trope.
I don't think he was boring. I liked him cuz he treated FL right. He actually went out of his way to go above…
Your comment just outlined three things to me: 1) You don't want to know what consent is 2) You missed the whole point about the cook & parallel even though I described it in great detail. Can't believe you STILL managed to get it wrong & 3) You didn't watch Nevertheless because Nabi never wanted s dirty little secret, she wanted commitment. Don't talk about IMPORTANT issues like consent if you don't even understand them in the first place.

But he was toxic, abusive & manipulative.. I can remember two scenes where Jaeeon asked for Nabi's consent. Nabi verbally and physically saying "NO" only for Jaeeon to push himself to her and asking again for consent from the obviously uncomfortable Nabi. Yes, she likes Jaeeon but if Nabi said "NO" then stop, don't push it? You see, that's not really consent if you are being forced or coerced into it. Like I said, obviously Nabi liked Jaeeon, but you can still say "NO" and like someone. Fans keep pointing out the fact he asked as proof of consent.. how is that consent? That is not even the bare miminum. A part of consent is being able to accept a "NO" from someone, not asking until the person says yes. He didn't let her be too. When she made it clear in episode 4 that she did not want to continue, he signed up himself as her partner for the art sculpture. AND WE ALL KNOW that he didn't sign up to help, but for other reasons. And when he spent his birthday with her, did you like not watch the part where he left without telling her why.. and the fact it had to do with the other girl he used to date? That's just disrespectful. Did you not also recognize the parallel? The fact she wanted the birthday soup and he didn't get around to making the instant one, but Dohyeok made her one from scratch. I'm not saying making soup = love, I'm saying, the directors put that parallel into the show to show the difference between who ACTUALLY cared. It's not just enjoying someones company. Did we not watch the same show? Nabi wanted commitment and Jaeeon was always wishy-washy about everything. He never gave Nabi a clear answer, even when she would ask him if he had a girlfriend. He responded with "Is that an issue?" People are upset about the ending of this drama because Jaeeon is just the epitome of how to not be treated. I wasn't too angry because at that point Nabi ended up choosing him, but people sympathize with her at least because she was humiliated and treated like crap by her ex-boyfriend. Jaeeon knew about this too which was revealed at the end AND treated Nabi just as bad. I agree Dohyeok should've stopped persuing Nabi when she told him he wasn't interested, but you're painting out as if he continuously asked her out which isn't true (but is true for Jaeeon). They still remained friends. You can criticize Dohyeok without excusing Jaeeons actions. Dohyeok deserved better & he should have left Nabi alone, but at least he wasn't abusive, manipulative & selfish.

Jaeeon was toxic.. He was never there for her & was scared of commitment. Dohyeok was there for Nabi on her birthday. Let's not even begin with the fact that Jaeeon was borderline physically abusive in that one scene in the rain. The way he grabbed Nabi was not okay under any circumstances. I'm sorry, but Jaeeon was straight up toxic.
I'm confused. Is the whole "scandal" just that she broke her leg. I thought that we didn't know everything that happened yet & that something else was part of this scandal.
