I wanna say to anyone who really enjoyed this series to watch it again on Netflix! Maybe if it keeps getting views, they would make 2nd season. I have watched it twice and plan to watch for the 3rd time very soon. I also recommended it to some friends, because it's quite refreshing Korean drama.
Vincenzo has been using quite a lot Italian in this series. I don't speak Italian, so I'm quite curious about how is his Italian? Does it sound understandable to someone who speaks Italian fluently?
No matter how cool the poster is not gonna watch anything with old jeezers in it as ml. My eyes can't handle it…
There has been many exceptions to this recently though. For example Dodosolsollalasol, Don't date him and now upcoming She would never know. All of those have older female leads compared to the male lead.
The character played by Im Siwan in this drama is sooo unique. Slightly feels like he might be on the autistic spectrum or just has other reasons why his personality is like that. In my whole life I have only met two people who had little bit similar personality/characteristics with Ki Seongyeom. They are very unique, but that uniqueness is very attractive. Here also, Seongyeom is very attractive in his own way. And oh my God, Im Siwan's smile is to die for.
I think the earlier you play and with whom you play determines the house of the card game..also in which state…
Yeah, you're probably right about the the house of card games. They should play earlier for sure, but I think they delayed playing until the last day, because of fear. The day of the game could be their last day if they die in the game. Maybe they had some hope most of the time that something would happen before their visa ends and they could survive without needing to play such a death game.
I might be the only one that thought the whole drama including the final episode was pretty brilliant. Twinkle, twinkle, little star. Often it's said when people die they become stars. Because Jun was the little star (that's maybe why he was also younger than Rara), he also "died" in the story and metaphorically became the little star. He "died" for a moment, but I don't think he really died in the story, because the little star had its "job" done leading people in the dark on their way. In dodosol all the people in Eunpo found their places. For example Eunseok said he was very grateful to Jun. He and her wife found their place in Eunpo. Even though it was not only for Jun, but Jun was also a very big part in everyone's story, being a little star showing the way in the dark.
Also, why I think he did not really die, is because Mimi was also able to see him. Well, it's said that animals could see ghosts/spirits so that may also be another one where the writer is trying to trick us. Maybe the writer wants us just to believe in what Jun said. He had to fully recover before he could come back. Maybe he might have even been unconscious for a long time. That being the time when the Mother met with Rara also. There must have been a miracle happening there also. I don't think the Mother could have just lied about her son dying. She did not say it with her own mouth, probably because she couldn't let the last pieces of hope go.
Edit. I also remembered that in the beginning Jun had everyone thinking he is 24, when he was actually 19. In the final ep he came back after 5 years. It must not be coincidence that they used exactly 5 years, that making Jun 24 for real this time. I just really wish they could make a season 2 or special or something.
What others dramas of Seonho can recommend me? I don't care if he has a support role but please not a drama that…
I personally liked the drama Catch the ghost where he is the main lead. He is funny there also. Many people didn't like the FL, but personally I didn't have a problem with her.
The preview for next week doesn't seem any better. They have lost it already and nothing is possible to repair. It's not even the ship that has sunk... it's the whole drama with all the characters. The only ones I have some hope left as characters are Injae and HJP. Others are long gone with the past few episodes. Dosan and Dalmi's romance feels like nothing. I don't feel anything for their break up meanwhile usually in dramas I cry so much when the couple goes through something heartbreaking. Here I cried when HJP went to grandma and told her he is not good boy. That was the most touching scene in the whole drama. Damn...
I don't know if I even want a Miji endgame anymore. Jipyeong deserves so much better. I never really liked Dalmi…
I agree with you. I love Suzy, but Dalmi's character is getting really less likeable episode by episode. Even though I feel so sad for HJP if he's not the endgame, I don't really see Dalmi as a good person for him. He deserves so much more. Much more than any other character in the whole drama.
Today's episode was heartbreaking for a HJP supporter like me. The signs were all over the place that there's no chance for MIJI to happen. Even the preview for the next ep was so cliche. The final "break up" for the main leads...when one of them lies to another for their own good. Dalmi telling Dosan that he should go (and not care about her staying behind) because he is not even the Dosan in the letters. It's kind of the same bs that is happening in Dodosolsollalasol at the moment as well. Maybe HJP's role really was just to be their thread of fate, to bring them together.
i dont feel like it was supposed to attract western audience... the startup is based on IT field so to make it…
You're right I think. I used to work in a Korean start-up. Not exactly in the IT field, but it was still a kind of tech company. My company also really wanted to enter the US market and we went for global conferences, B2B meetings and other events where we could meet potential American (and other foreign) customers and investors. For start-ups fast growth is very important and American market is where many Korean start-ups try to head to, so I think that might be why there are so many American references in this drama. Korean companies that do business with the US companies also appeal more to the locals. It's kind of like what the Morning group CEO said in the drama that they need these big partner's to show off in their websites and so on.
I honestly like the unpredictability of this drama at the moment. Especially now that the truths are out there already, well except for the recent issue with JP. It is very possible that the endgame is DalDo, but if so, what more will happen in the upcoming episodes? 6 episodes seem a bit too long for Daldo, but on the other hand 6 episodes might be too short for Miji to suddenly be the endgame. I get this Love Alarm vibes, when you cannot be 100% sure of which turn it will take and it's actually very thrilling!
I couldn't watch today's episode. I really wanted to watch, but the preview was too depressing. I might wait until last two episodes are out. It's too hard to watch when a preview is so heartbreaking. :(
Also, why I think he did not really die, is because Mimi was also able to see him.
