Can someone explain to me what problem Jo Chul Kang has with the Ri Family? I understand that he killed Mu Hyuk,…
It's just my guess, but what he wants is power. North Korea is very corrupted so he can do anything if he just has enough power. Ri family is a powerful family and they (and in a way Seri too) got on his way to get to his goals so he wanted to finish them. There might be more to it though.
I love how the comment section here for this drama is so active! I'm living for these comments here these days while waiting for the new episodes. Hahah
This show certainly not deserve 9 as rating. I watch it but for the parameters given nowhere this show pass any…
If you read the most comments here you would realize that people actually like this show. Not everyone cares how realistic it is. I believe those of us who have been living with Korean dramas for years can understand the nostalgic Korean drama feeling this drama gives. It feels like going back to the past to some of the old classics. I live in South Korea so I know how ridiculous some scenes were and that it would definitely not be possible to happen in real life, but uknow people don't wanna always see stuff that is 100% realistic. I think the writer has a pattern. If you have seen other works of her, she seems to be really into writing "impossible love stories" like an alien and human, a mermaid and a human, North Korean and South Korean. She knew it would be almost as impossible as an alien and mermaid for this story to happen irl...but people can dream and fantasize...right? I haven't read her interviews, but yeah personally I really enjoy her work! :)
I must say it's not the most realistic drama out there. :D BUT regardless I love it so much! I feel like it turned into a comedy now that the other soldiers also went to South, but again I love the twist so much. Hahhahah...the ending of ep 10 was epic! Can't wait for next week!
I started watching this drama because the plot sounded so interesting, but to be honest I really hated Hyunbin until I saw this drama. I have seen at least Secret Garden and The Memories of Alhambra and I really did not like him. After this drama I realized I did not dislike Hyunbin, I hated the characters that he portrayed in those dramas. While watching this drama I fell for him. He is so charismatic and I started to think he is good looking too, even though I never really saw it before. Now I'm rooting for the main couple. ^^ I'm not really interested in the second leads, but I hope they end up together too.
Oh my God after seeing today's episode my heart broke for Kang Woo. He was so happy thinking they are dating and then suddenly everything was just a misunderstanding and they are behaving like enemies again. I kinda hated Kang Woo for the first few episodes. Second male lead syndrome here is pretty strong, but then I just felt so sorry for Kang Woo.
Wow...Now we finally know who is the Ghost. Writers picked the least obvious, but tbh he seemed the quite suspicious, because the other two guys were not careful enough. First it seemed like he was scared of them, but after the last scene it seems it was his scheme to get rid of them, because they will get him caught too.
I loved the scene where Jisuk came out of Yooryung's home and was like having butterflies in his stomach. His love for Yooryung is so cute.
Don't you think anyone would lose it at some point living like that? It's not like she chose to take care of her…
Oh yeah, I think you are right about that. She definitely went overboard. Especially judging others without knowing anything about why they behaved like that.
You're all out there making excuses for a character who abandoned her autistic sister and hoping ppl understand…
Don't you think anyone would lose it at some point living like that? It's not like she chose to take care of her 24/7 for the rest of her life. She just did not have any other options as she is her only remaining family member. She loves her, but even when you love someone you cannot tolerate everything. YooRyung could never have a normal life if her sister was with her ALL THE TIME. She may be selfish, but she has suffered a lot. She even worked hard to earn money for both of them to survive. But because of her sister she often got fired. She knew most likely after the horrible date that she could never have love in her life. I understand what you said about your uncle and I also have a slightly autistic brother (the spectrum is huge and his is not as bad as YooRyung's sister's), but I haven't taken care of him 24/7 all my life, my Mom has done it. I bet you also did not take care of your uncle every minute, every day. So I think both of us cannot truly understand what the person goes through. But I'm not saying the writer of this drama does either. Who knows.
Did anyone else get the vibes that Ro Woon's character seems "soulless". I think he is not aware yet, but maybe he has started to realize something is off about the world they live in. I'm so excited to see his character development. Hopefully he will also soon become fully conscious like the FL and together they will try to find a way to create their own story.
I watched this on-going since episode one and I regret complaining about predictable dramas, this was so frustrating…
Yes, exactly my thoughts. So disappointed. It had so much potential. I wish there would have been some final reveal that was not just what it turned out to be. The "truth" did not have impact enough that it had to be dragged for this long.
I saw someone gave this drama a 9.5 review 23 days ago. Last episode came out yesterday. It should not be accepted to give reviews unless you have actually seen the whole drama. That's so misleading. I might have given this drama higher rating too if I had not seen the last episode.
Oh God, I hate that 1-year later cliche so much. It's sooo overused in kdramas. Why did they have to ruin a fine drama with such a stupid ending? And she accepted him back so fast as if nothing happened...he was gone for a whole fucking year. Come on...
I feel so sad about Ian...I wish he did not actually die and would come back. But I know they showed him dying and even his brother confirmed his death. It's just so sad that he did not even get to properly confess to Yi Young, only briefly when dying. I love Yeon Woo Jin, but I don't feel so strongly about Jang Yoon. Kim Ian deserves the girl in this drama. His character seemed playful but at the same time innocent. His brother was kind of similar, but he had some grudge against his brother before he died, just(?) because he was more talented than him. I would wanna see a drama with Kim Ian and Yi Yong as his assistant, and them surviving the kidnapping and everything that happened.
You may not understand how renting a place in Seoul works. You need 5,000 (or even much more) dollars only for…
Yeah I do agree with that, but I guess there is no realistic way for him to stay there except threatening him through something. For the story to keep being interesting, creepy and intense he is needed to stay close to them. I'm not sure about the original story (the webtoon), but I guess he stays there in that too.
I loved the scene where Jisuk came out of Yooryung's home and was like having butterflies in his stomach. His love for Yooryung is so cute.
