I always enjoy Kitamura Takumi’s movies. He is always cast as the timid loner but we all know he’s exactly opposite once he gets behind a mic and starts strumming his guitar. I’m glad this piece gave us a glimpse of that.
I also loved how the story can be funny, sad, and confusing all at the same time.
How would've you done the last episode better? just curious
I don't have specifics. And I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been for the production to think on the fly given the situation. I just wished they chose a different path to tie loose ends, particularly Miura-San's character. His didn't seem like the type to simply disappear into the night especially when things were on the upswing. Having said that, I applaud everyone for making it work somehow.
Such rawness in the characters is what sold me to this. It successfully dealt with some hard truths on the subject of gays that some dramas can’t express. I thought it was brave but not hard sell. And who can resist a drama that uses the music of Queen as background.
This is one of the cutest dramas I’ve seen in a while. Loving it so far...giving it an 8 for now since I’m only halfway. Here’s hoping it doesn’t disappoint in the end.
Re-watched this. Made me cry all the more thinking it was almost like a farewell song even when it was a few years back. Miura-san was an incredible actor. Too bad we will never get to see another great performance from him. Thank you Miura-san!
Enjoyed this. Although the last episode seemed to drag on then all of a sudden came to a halt. The story was interesting though and Yokohama-san and Hamabe-san were a perfect fit. I have to say when Mahiro-san was being evil, he sold it really well. But of course there’s no doubting his talent.
Why do I keep seeing Yamada Yuki’s butt crack even in my dreams ???? But I admit he’s one funny dude. And is one of those that almost always sells his role.
I love Miu Tomita. Her chemistry with Daiki Shigeoka was so wonderful you really can’t help but root for their characters. Love this quirky drama. One of the best live action mangas out there.
Japanese dramas have a way of turning the most ordinary and uninteresting of characters into people you’d want to cheer and route for. I love how in it’s simplicity the drama is able to tackle deep human issues that speak to all of us. I am loving every heartwarming encounter In this drama. Love to know that someone who does nothing can still impact someone’s life and change them forever.
No matter what character he plays or what story he has to tell, Yeo Jin-Goo never seems to disappoint. He has the knack for winning you over to his side no matter how crazy and fantastical his plot may be. For sure as far as storytelling goes, he is one of the best of his time.
This is by far the best Kdrama I’ve seen so far. Usually they lose me towards the end, paricularly the final episode when things seem rushed and anticlimatic but this one had me hooked til the final second. And can I just say the acting and writing were impeccable. Love love love it.
