It was good but told through rose colored glasses. Could have been better if the realities of poor choices and accountability were not white washed. Seems as though consequences to actions were taken too lightly in this drama.
This has a little bit of everything- drama, suspense, tragedy, intrigue, comedy, romance - all melded in a magnificent way. I just hope it doesn’t lose steam towards the end. But so far, the three years it took for this to finally air, the wait is well worth it.
I enjoyed it but I didn’t really like the last episode. The time jump to 6 years later was underwhelming. Completely threw me off. Would have been better if they chose a different ending that’s more compelling or at least executed it better. Too bad because it was actually an engaging story. Predictable yes, typical yes, but quite entertaining.
I know the love angle in this story is unconventional but I get it. I’m enjoying it so far and can’t wait to see how it all turns out. The end game is kinda obvious but getting there is quite interesting.
After watching every second of the drama, I have to say 4th sister’s story resonates the most. Hers and Huizhao’s episodes have the highest rewatch value. In fact, I think they’re the only ones I’ll go back to.
The 5th sister’s story was quite juvenile. I had high hopes for it but the tough girl angle was a bit much for me. I hate to say it but even with just a couple of episodes, I found the brother’s story more engaging.
Yang Xian seems to know something about this He character that we don't that's why he pummeled him to the ground at the "wife swap". He secretly saved Le Shan from impending doom. Or am I just reading too much into that encounter? Maybe he's just a spoiled brat that enjoys a street brawl. I guess we will know soon enough.
I have to say 4th sister’s story is a tough one to beat. The farther we go into it, the more interesting it gets. I am engaged every single second. I almost forgot the other stories that came before.
5th sister definitely has her work cut out for her. Not only is she following 4th sister, hers will eventually tie it all together.
The 4th sister’s story is too good, it makes the previous ones seem like only opening acts to hers. It’s got great pacing, excellent character development, and a plot that weaves perfectly through interesting side stories. To top it off, Liang Yong Qi is looking to be the best actor by far among the lot. And to think this coupling wasn’t billed to be the main one in the beginning.
I want a spin-off of this drama that focuses on Haode and Huizhao’s story alone. There’s so much more that can be told. Love them. Hands down my favorite couple.
I’m liking this drama. Love the sisters each having a distinct character and story. 21 episodes in and I think my favorite couple so far is the 4th sister’s. I like their partnership, and I sense a strong chemistry between the two characters. In the earlier episodes 4th sister was always in the background but now that she’s the focus, at least of the recent two episodes, she’s turning out to be a very likable and interesting character. I look forward to seeing how she softens her otherwise stoic husband.
I enjoy watching Chinese youth dramas, specially those based on novels. The characters grow on you. And even when they seem to have the same main plot, each carries a distinct flavor.
The death of Wei Liang was too hard to watch. My heart broke seeing how each one grieved for him.
The 5th sister’s story was quite juvenile. I had high hopes for it but the tough girl angle was a bit much for me. I hate to say it but even with just a couple of episodes, I found the brother’s story more engaging.
