This was the best follow up to tie things together. Loved how everything progressed in the most realistic way. Always enjoy Japanese dramas for their simple and very relatable slice of life.
The dialogue in this is throwing me off. It’s either I’m not profound enough or things get lost in translation. Whatever…I find myself buffering trying to figure out wth they mean with what they say many times 😐
I’m 3 episodes in and I still can’t catch the flow of this one. I like the actors so I’m sticking to it but I haven’t invested on any of the characters just yet.
This is one of those dramas that I can't help but cheer on the SML for the FL. I hope the Queen comes back to life somehow and reunites with the King so So-rang and Shin-won can finally have the wedding they deserve. That's my wishful thinking for an ending to this.
The pacing is slowing down considerably. It’s going in circles, with virtually nothing significant happening. I like the actors here but I’m getting bored with the story. Please tell me it gets better…
It was good. I’m not as convinced that it’s the best though. However I love the relationships in this show, particularly between the mothers and their children. I have to say it took a while for me to understand the ending with the umbrella until I remembered the title. I thought it wasn’t necessary because all throughout the show we saw how the mothers, not just the Queen to her boys, but all of them, protect and love their offspring. Yes, including the Queen Mother towards the King, evil as she might have been.
So sad this had to end. One of the most heartwarming dramas I’ve seen. No moment wasted on this. Loved every second I spent watching. And once the closing credits came up I so wanted to watch it again.
Refreshing to watch a Kdrama without the cheekiness between characters and over-acting among the actors. Might I also mention Kim Go Eun - great performance, best part is the subtle delivery of her emotions.
This is one of the better hs cdramas out there. Love the FL and ML together. Loving every moment. And it’s one of those that you won’t mind rewatching down the road.
Because I know the novel by heart I can’t help but feel the characters are lifted from it. The story might not be completely the same but I just can’t help but see the March sisters and other characters in this.
This seems more like a fanfic. Good take up though. Waiting to see how this goes.
This was good. The young actors particularly did well in depicting the disturbing realities of youth today.
I just didn’t appreciate much the overly heroic depiction of the lead, who despite her flaws, is almost always right, and those around her are all mediocre.
