I’ve seen all live action versions of this and was thoroughly entertained. I suspect this is also going to be interesting. And I’m glad Saotome Maori’s story is the focus of this. She’s one of the best characters here and Morikawa Aoi-San plays her really well.
Cliche as the story might seem, I like this. I will invest on the 9 other episodes just to see if my drawn conclusions based on episode 1 are correct because I have a feeling I already know how this one is going to end.
The ML and FL are too saccharine sweet it almost gave me a toothache. Both were unbelievably pristine. It would have been nice if there was a bit of sinister in them.
Three minutes into the first episode I know this is going to be something special. Add to the beautiful setting and promising storyline, is the presence of great actors both young and seasoned.
This was a great drama until Jianjian and Ling Xiao became so clingy. The love angle between the two made me cringe. Why did they have to put that into play anyway? The family dynamic in the beginning was good enough to build a great story on. Thank goodness for Zi Qiu. Even when they tried to give his character the third wheel role, he had a deeper, more interesting story slant on his own. His was the best developed character among the leads. If not for him, this drama almost turned into just another love story. I had high hopes for this.
I just started watching this after looking at the positive reviews but three episodes in and I can’t get past the impertinence of the FL. I don’t know why they seem to think being rude is synonymous to being tough. It’s hard to root for her.
This is the most heartwarming drama I’ve seen in a while. I’m a fan of Hamabe Minami and I always try to watch her work. I think she’s one of the most talented young actresses around. But in this drama every single character is lovable, and every single actor did so well.
I wish this was one of those stories that could go on and it feels 10 episodes are not enough. Definitely giving this a rewatch value of 10.
I didn’t expect this to be so heartwarming. I have to admit there were moments in this drama I found myself shedding a tear or two. It’s been a while since this happened to me while watching a coming of age rom com. So worth the time.
This was one hodgepodge mess.
Hats off for this gem of a show.
Having said that, this was not too bad.
